Sudan dismisses 82 judges, prosecutors

The Sudanese Empowerment Removal Committee announced the dismissal of 56 judges and 26 prosecutors, in addition to the recovery of farmland from the family of deposed President Omar Al-Bashir and several leaders of the dissolved National Congress Party (NCP).
In a press conference on Sunday, Empowerment Elimination, Anti-Corruption, and Funds Recovery Committee member Wajdi Saleh said: "The committee decided to dismiss 56 judges of various ranks and 26 prosecutors, including heads of public prosecution."
Saleh explained that the committee "recovered a number of agricultural lands belonging to the family of ousted President Omar Al-Bashir."
