Southern stakeholders insist on producing next Ekiti governor Southern stakeholders insist on producing next Ekiti governor Share Stakeholders under the auspices of Ekiti South Agenda has insisted that political parties must consider picking their candidates for next year’s governorship election in the state from the senatorial district on the principle of equity and justice. They maintained that the district parades qualify and competent individuals that could rule the state and give residents the real dividends of democracy. The stakeholders at a meeting in Ikere-Ekiti which had representatives of Senator Biodun Olujimi; former deputy governor, Professor Kolapo Olusola and others noted that the zone had been shortchanged since the creation of the state in 1996 in producing the governor of the state.
