Solid Waste Planning Board rejects Middle Point expansion

Central Tennessee Region Solid Waste Planning Board Member Donna Barrett of Rutherford County presents her data packet and resolution to reject Republic Services’ application to expand the Middle Point Landfill at a specially-called July 9 meeting. Following the approval of her motion, the board’s opposition to the expansion and this supporting data will be submitted to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for consideration.
