Phil Murphy at the graduation ceremony for 17 new train engineers, I thought to myself that it was high time to call attention to the progress achieved under the leadership of state Department of Transportation Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti and NJ Transit President Kevin Corbett. People are rightfully frustrated by the challenges facing New Jersey transportation, however, it is important to recognize that Gov. Phil Murphy inherited a department that had been ignored by the prior administration.
