After years of scrutiny for spending millions of dollars on outside legal counsel, the Recording Academy has begun a search for an in-house general counsel, Billboard has learned. Recording Academy president/CEO Harvey Mason Jr. confirmed the search in an interview with Billboard on Monday, saying when asked about the role, “Yes.
