Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine told the Times Recorder on Wednesday the state will soon announce more prom and graduation guidelines. He said they would likely be uncomplicated and would stress common practices like masks, distancing, outdoor preference and exercising caution while eating or drinking. Last year a state health order shuttered schools and prohibited gatherings of more than 10 people. That included prom, forcing juniors and seniors across Ohio to miss a traditional rite of passage ahead of high school graduation. It's still not clear what the dance will look like in the COVID-19 era. Schools are still devising safety plans to comply with public health guidelines.
