MARAWI CITY, May 19 (PIA)--Parents and teachers of Guimba Lilod Primary School in this city unite Tuesday to paint the walls of the school with vibrant colors and messages of peace in line with the Marawi Week of Peace 2021. 
Initiated by the Department of Education-Marawi Operation Center (OPCEN), the peace mural painting highlighted that schools are zones of peace.
Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto, deputy focal person of the OPCEN, said the mural painting is a good instrument in getting across the message of peace.
“This is very important because this is one of way of inculcating peace, to remind our learners and teachers as they go to school every day (in the future when face to face is allowed) and all the people that passes by the wall of Guimba Lilod Primary School what peace is,” she said.
