Oakland County to host free drive-thru Narcan training Alliance hosts online, in-person training events Published: Updated: Tags: PONTIAC, Mich. – The Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities is taking its Narcan training curbside to combat the rise in overdose deaths. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 81,000 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States in the 12-month period ending May 2020. The CDC said it is the highest number of overdose deaths in a year. To help combat this issue, the Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities pivoted to provide virtual Narcan training and starting Friday, it is also offering drive up training.
