Melissa Gatica took a few moments to choke back her tears before speaking to the man on the screen who shattered her family's life two years ago, telling him that they will fight to make sure he serves every bit of the 25-year prison sentence handed to him on Tuesday. She told Joshua Guzman that her family remains angry at him for causing the vehicle crash that killed her uncle, 61-year-old Pedro Martinez Jr. "On Monday April 19, our life was forever changed by your selfishness, recklessness and stupidity," Gatica told Guzman as she sat in a room at the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office, where she gave her victim impact statement.
