Synopsis
Banerjee visited the booth in the Boyal area after receiving complaints that Trinamool polling agent was not allowed to sit inside the booth. Trinamool members alleged she got stuck inside the school premises for over two hours, even as “BJP and Trinamool workers indulged in violence outside the booth”.
Agencies
A BJP worker was allegedly found hanging near the Reyapara area in Nandigram Block-1.
Trinamool Congress members alleged rigging and other irregularities at a polling booth in Nandigram, from where chief minister Mamata Banerjee is contesting, during the second phase of voting in West Bengal on Thursday. The Election Commission, however, rejected the allegation, saying voting was not disrupted at any moment at polling station number 7 in the constituency.
