the governor's race both in virginia and in new jersey, it's just the way the pendulum swings. president biden, this week actually became the first newly elected president of the united states, since ronald reagan, to not fall prey to that curse. to not have his party lose both of the governorships. biden's democratic party did lose the virginia governor's race, but they want to new jersey. which we found out this time last night. when nbc news made the call. that said, tonight, within the past hour, the republican candidate in new jersey, ciattarelli, has just posted a video on twitter, saying he is not conceding that race. he does not think this is over. he says he is a team of lawyers, and he mentions that the states republican party is still manning its election integrity hotline. at the same time he did tell his supporters tonight in this video, i don't want people falling victim to wild conspiracy theories are online rumors. well consideration is paid to any and all credible reports, please don't believe everything you see, you read or see online. he said quote, i promise you, whatever the outcome of the election result, it will be legal and fair. it's good, but he's not conceding. he is more than 40,000 votes behind this, point and most of the votes are counted are from new jersey's heavily democratic leading counties. so that 40,000 margin, is likely to get large and not bigger as the count goes on. we shall see. so far no concession, but not in an insane way. that said, given the republican party right now, you and i both know i could get insane very fast. we will be watching that. today also was the disciplinary hearing at the tests bar association, for trump lawyers sydney powell. you will remember her for taking a lead alongside rudy giuliani and trying to use the courts, to push the insane trump claims that the presidential election was stolen from him a year ago now. mr. giuliani's already had his license suspended in new york, because he did many false claims he made in the courts in propounding those election fantasies. now sydney powell is facing the prospect of similar penalties. up to and including her disbarment in texas. the hearing today was held behind closed doors, if the texas bar associations disciplinary committee finds grounds to move forward on proceedings against her as a lawyer, that trial effectively a trial for her law license, it could be held publicly, it could be held privately as today's hearing was. again, we chelsea. president trump himself who is confronted with this undoubtedly very unwelcome headline in the washington post. quote, manhattan da convenes new grand jury, in trump organization case. to weigh potential charges. former president trump this summer had to endure multiple felony criminal charges being brought against his business. the trump organization, and personally against the chief financial officer of his business. those charges came about, roughly five weeks after new york prosecutors had convened their first special grand jury, to me on that case and hear the evidence. with sort of unusual frequency. they called it a special grand jury because the special grand jury that convened in, may didn't just meet weekly to look at the evidence, they met three days a week. for six solid months, looking at the evidence in that case. it did not take long for them to hand down the first indictments. by july 1st that they handed down the indictments, after they were convened in late may. they were convened for a period of six, months now it is six months on from that, and we learned today in the washington post that they have convened a special second special grand jury. it's already seated, it's already in place, they're already hearing evidence in new york, including according to the washington post, hearing evidence today. the post reports that while the first grand jury in the trump organization case, handed down those multi defendant felony charges alleging millions of dollars in tax fraud, the second grand jury that's just been put in place, now according to the post. they're looking at different allegations. they're looking at other different types of fraud aggregation's relating to the evaluation of various trump properties. that type of allegation about trump's business practices, just last, month led to another reported criminal investigation, being opened into trump's business. by yet another new york prosecutors office. by the da in west chester county. that was apparently reportedly based on allegations that trump and his business lied about the value of a golf course and west chester county. in order to evade paying a fair share property taxes on it. again, that's a new criminal investigation of trump and his business in west chester county. when we learn today from the washington post is that a second grand jury was convened in the existing manhattan case against trump and his business. in this manhattan case, multiple felony charges have already been handed down against his business and his cfo. knowing a second grand jury is convened in that, case in his already outwork are looking at the evidence. it just has to be very uncomfortable for everybody involved. right? >> just for context, in terms of timing here, after they seated the first grand jury in manhattan, it's took them about five weeks before they handed down those felony charges that we saw this summer. if the second grand jury does the same thing, an operates at the same timeframe, that would be five weeks from now. that would be merry christmas. today we learned the dates on which those vaccine requirements are going to go into effect for federal contractors. for facilities like hospitals and nursing homes, they get federal funding for medicare and medicaid, and for private employers that have more than 100 employees. president biden announced these vaccine or test requirements, a couple of months ago, now we know the dates by which they will go into, affected's january 4th. after that date, if you are employed at one of those kinds of places, you will need to either get vaccinated to keep working, or, you will have the choice to be tested for covid every week instead. now, along with the day today we got the news that if you choose to get vaccinated, the vaccine will be free. and you get paid time off to go get the vaccine. that said, if you opt for not getting vaccinated, but instead being regularly covid tested, that's on you. the government is not going to pay for the testing process the way they test for the vaccine. lots of republican governors have already started saying, and started suing saying their state won't do, it in the federal government can't make them do. at the government is plainly thinks that it has the authority to do this. these cases will now start working their way through the courts. the administration announced today was a deadline for those requirements to go into effect is january 4th. that's a big deal. i should tell, you on tonight, show will also be talking to a former senior fbi official. senior counter intelligence official at the fbi, about a new indictment, new charges by john durham, the special counsel who bill barr appointed under trump, that was left at the justice department, left behind at the justice department, after barr resigned. and after trump left office. they left special counsel john durham in place at the justice department, in the wake of the trump administration. during an open-ended investigation, into everybody who took part in the russia investigation. the trump administration and bill barr in particular, viewed the investigation as an insult by scandal, they had jim john durham to investigate and try to find crimes among people who were involved in the investigation, and that's where he has been doing ever since. special counsel john durham brought an indictment a few weeks ago -- about the trump organization having some sort of apparent surreptitious contact, with a kremlin connected bank during the 2016 election. it was kind of an obscure allegation, it never really caught that much public attention, it was court of a complex idea. never really took off in the public, mind for example it was never furthered in the mueller investigation, mueller didn't mention it at all. center intelligence committee did look into, it they just concluded that they couldn't figure out what those communications were at all themselves. they never sorted it. out it's a very low profile thing. john germs choice to bring an indictment against somebody who brought those allegations to the fbi, it sort of boomeranged on him. in terms of how those allegations are viewed. once those charges, once that indictment was filed against somebody who has brought those allegations to the fbi, people connected to that case, people involved in turning up that evidence in those weird computer contacts in the first, place they apparently were spurred by that indictment, to come forward. to revive those allegations, to defend those allegations, to make a public case, that in, fact it does sort of look like the trump organization and the kremlin connected russian bank did have something we are going. on surreptitiously that they tried to keep secret during the election. the special counsel, appears to be trying to make that allegation about those computer contacts between the trump organization and alphabetic, you appear to be trying to make those allegations appear to sound crazy and even criminal. but by charging someone relating to the allegations, someone who brought the allegations to the fbi, what that indictment did is end up dragging the initial allegation back into the news, where and now has gotten more attention in this seems like more of a live issue than i had in years. bit of a boomerang effect for them on that. but now today in this new indictment. it's against a researcher who is interviewed by the fbi multiple times in 2017. he has now been charged today with making a false statement during those four year old fbi interviews. again, the indictment in this case tells a story beyond just the charges. the indictment in this case is 39 pages. it's written well beyond those specific charges. it, like the other indictment from john, durham seems designed to try to further this projects of making the russia investigation itself seem like a scandal, we will get into, it we have more on that coming up in just a few, minutes again a former fbi counter intelligence official. where i want to start tonight, is with the story that i think is not getting nearly enough attention. i think this story is lighting and a bottle. it's broken this week but not broken nearly widely enough. in the last midterm election, the elections we had in 2018, you recall it was a good election for democrats, so-called blue wave election. in the middle of president trump's turn. trump in the republicans got elected in 2016, 2018 they swept the power in the u.s., house there are hopes that time that something similar might happen in the senate. republican said just a narrow majority heading into the 2018 midterms. they only had 51 seats in the senate. democrats saw a real opportunity, potentially to retake the senate for the democrats in the 2018 blue evil action. one of the hardest fought and most seriously watch senate races in 2018 was in missouri, incumbent moderate democratic center mccaskill, faced a challenge from a republican cal and they named josh hawley. everybody knew this would be a hard ways for mccaskill, no matter what. it's missouri. trump won missouri by nearly 20 points in 2016. just two years later she's running to try to hold on to her see as a democratic senator there. something came up right at the end of that campaign. reports surfaced, that perhaps josh hawley had gotten some extra help, in his campaign. some extra help that might not have been okay. a complaint was filed with the federal election commission a couple of weeks before election day, that accuse the nra, the national rifle association, of having dumped a whole bunch of illegal money on josh hawley. during the campaign. supporting hollies campaign with illegal campaign spending, what's the campaign called an elaborate scheme, designed to evade campaign finance law. this complaint, about the nra, allegedly illegally funding josh hawley in that senate race, it was filed by a non watchdog, and also by the gun violence prevention group and by former congresswoman gabby difference. i should know she was shot in the head grievously wounded in a mass shooting at a campaign event in her arizona district, in 2011, she went on to fund a prevention group that's now called giffords. their complaints to the fcc said the nra had illegally shoved nearly 1 million dollars, toward josh hawley, in the form of tv ads, supporting him. an election day 2018, mccaskill lost that race. democrats did not take the senate in 2018. even though they did take the house. it was always going to be an uphill fight for mccaskill. because it was missouri because it was the way the condom wisdom and washington is that she would lows that race anyway, no matter what she did. this late breaking allegation that illegal money went to her opponent, it never really got much traction. it never really got that much pressure all that attention. in terms of what happened next. a couple months after the election, investigation by mother jones magazine and news outlet focused on the government trade, found that the nra appeared to have not just been illegally funneling money towards josh hawley's campaign in 2018, but that open first reporting. appeared to indicate that the nra have been using the same scheme to shove illegal money towards at least two other republican senate candidates. and also potentially millions of dollars in illegal spending towards donald trump, 2016 presidential campaign. under campaign finance law, the nra, any ssa group, can't deal millions of dollars to a campaign. and they can spend adjusts money as they want airing their own ads. but they can't coordinate their ads rather than coordinate their spending with the campaign because that would be basically be the same thing as giving a legal contribution to the campaign. so this alleged scheme, the way it worked, is that the nra hired a company to buy ads supporting its preferred candidate, whether donald trump, or josh hawley, who are allegedly the beneficiaries. but the investigation turned up, is that the company the nra hired to buy it back, was actually just a front group. it was the same media company that was doing all the at buying for donald trump and josh hawley. they were just doing it with a different name on paper. not only was it the same company, it was literally the same guy who signed off on all the advice to both the campaign and the nra. it's hard to argue it's not illegal coordination when there aren't even two people coordinating with each other. it's literally one guy, the same guy, doing the ad for both of them. if you are just one person, you are by definition coordinating with yourself. because otherwise, see a doctor. is the guy trying not to coordinate with himself. does he think that -- it looked on paper like the nra campaign was coordinating. in fact the nra was in fact giving money illegally huge amounts of money to trump's and hollies at guy, and saying have fun. and if that's how it works, that would be illegal. the former chair of the fcc reviewed the records and said quote, i don't think i've ever seen a situation where illegal coordination seems more obvious. it is so blatant that it doesn't even seem -- >> everyone involved probably thinks that there aren't going to be any consequences. and they probably didn't think there are going to be any consequences because the federal elections commissions, who is in charge of enforcing campaign finance laws, they don't do anything. they have been hopelessly deadlocked in over a decade. the republican commissioners from the sec have refused to agree to enforce anything. and in so doing they successfully blocked the agency from doing its agents job. even in big obvious cases. but now, this is the interesting part, gabby gifford's organization in the legal center is saying that group stuff all the complete pain about this practice, back in 2018, they appeared to have found a way around that deadlock non functioning agency of the sec. a way to hold the nra to account for this alleged illegal campaign spending. their complaints for the sec about this alleged illegal campaign funding scheme, those campaigns sat there for so long, and the fcc failed to act for so long. a federal court ruling that coverage in the campaign legal center could go ahead now because the fcc had blown it for so long, they could go ahead and sue to enter a directly themselves. they earned that right. a judge ordered the fcc, the fcc did not act, when they did not act, the judge said, you can sue them. and so now they have. this brand new lawsuit named the nra, but also specifically just halle's campaign, as well as the campaign of another republican-elect coordinated illegally with the nra, our spending that rawsonville, the loss is 2018 in montana to john custard. the democratic senator in montana. he also mentored the not name soon we, are the senate campaigns of north carolina, arkansas, and arkansas, and former colorado senator cory gardner. the suit alleges quote, the nra has engaged in an ongoing scheme to have a campaign financing regulations by using a series of storm corporations to illegally but certificate coordinate advertisement with at least seven candidates for office. through the scheme, to nra affiliates made up to $35 million in illegal acceptive and unreported campaign contributions, across the 2014, 2016, and 2018 elections. including, up to $25 million to the trump campaign in 2016. $25 million in illegal donations to the trump campaign in 2016? plus all those republican senators? this feels like we're on a few different levels. so what if your groups may have found a way to actually maybe enforce campaign finance laws. which has been the wild last for many years. not because the federal agency that is supposed to release this stuff is functionally that. but also, $35 million is a lot of money. that is a lot of allegedly illegal money washing around in republican campaign. that is enough money to potentially have a major effect on the outcome of multiple elections. i should tell you that the nra told the washington post in the statement that the lawsuit its heart of its advertisers anti-freedom agenda. okay, but this is another huge scandal for the nra. which is already on the ropes right, the new york attorney general is trying to dissolve them as an organization over the top leaders allegedly rating the organization toppers for their own personal gain. the nra tried to declare bankruptcy in response and a judge told them that they couldn't. because it was a bad face effort to declare bankruptcy just to avoid accountability in that lawsuit. they are also trying to claim bankruptcy while bragging to their supporters that they have just as much money as ever, and they have just as much info as ever. an nra affiliate is the plaintiff in its major gun rights case, argued for the supreme court yesterday, a case in which, if the court sides with the nra, way more americans are going to be able to carry concealed firearms in public. i know that there is a lot going on right now, but this lawsuit hitting the nra right now, it feels like a consequential freaking deal. joining us now is david casino, he's senior staff attorney at the gifted law center, thank you for making time tonight. >> thanks so much for having me. >> so, i'm not an expert in these matters, either in campaign finance law, and i'm not a lawyer in terms of expanding these things, i just want to ask you if i've gotten anything wrong, in explaining how this is working. >> no, that was exactly right. it's a really complex scheme on paper but at heart, what was happening, is that the nra was using the same people who were working for campaigns, for places that are supposedly independent. so the same person on friday would be making an ad by the campaign, would turn around on a monday and be making an ad by the nra -- just as you pointed out, that's impossible. so it's a really blatant violation of the law. the fact that the used to cell companies to hide, it -- it was really a transparent attempt to get around the law. if you dug in just a little bit as reporters as we've done, it's very clear, just on paper, that they were violating the law. >> because it was such a blatant violation, it does open up the prospect that they didn't try hard enough not to get caught. that they were so confident, that this stuff is never policed anymore. that you in fact can give 25 million dollar illegal dollars to the donald trump campaign and it won't matter because nobody polices it. this is essentially unregulated spending mail. is that your suspicion, or do you feel like they did actually take enough steps to cover their tracks? that getting caught felt like a prospect that may deliver consequences to them? >> i think it could be the absolute bare minimum to devise the scheme. and i think it's because the sense of the communities seems to rule with that are a. they have this attitude that no one can come after them, no one could stop them, so they can break any role they want to. we've seen that own over the years that -- attorney general james has documented and uncovered, that case after case -- they keep getting away with. it this year there, right but i think things are starting to change. >> if there is any sense in these allegations, is there any documentary elephants that the campaign knew what they were in on here? obviously, we've got representative matthew rosen dale and josh hawley as named defendants in this case but trump, ron nelson, cory goslyn, tom, they're all mentioned thus beneficiaries of the scheme. is there evidence that they knowingly accepted this money? that they knew was illegal and accepted it anyway? >> there is some evidence to that, and i think the most striking example comes from matt rose and dale, who as you mentioned is running for senate at the time but now -- there was a recording that was made at the fund-raiser that rose until hell, that they were asked, if there was an outright spending in history. he said, i had a conversation at the time of the head lobbyist with the nra, when he told me, is of the nra will be coming in with the sweating next month. the next month, the nra came in with what they categorized as the spending. the other candidate knew what would have been with the independents furniture, and not only, bragged about he'd been coordinating with the nra. >> in terms -- if that's worn out in court what does that mean in terms of culpability for him? or for any of the other defendants that knew it was happening, and might have benefited from it? >> the case that we're bringing, we have the ability to bring to enforcement, the main thing is is the declaration by the court, that this was illegal, and it must be stopped immediately. because they kept doing, it and if there's not something done about it i think that the candidates will continue to use this inca technique. the other available remedy is to give the money back. i mean you can't take back those ads, but we can, do is require the campaign, and the political committees to provide this money to the treasury. so potentially where we're looking at is an outcome for the order by the coat to generate a pay to pay $35 million to pay. -- >> david, casinos gifted law center, we appreciate you helping investigation into potential links between the trump campaign and russia, for just a few weeks. but some truly explosive material reached his desk in september 2016. there were raw intelligence reports compiled by christopher steele. who had a long history of working with the fbi. and these ron televisions reports described an alleged plot to interfere in the u.s. election. that involves several trump campaign figures, allegations that the russian government had compromising information about candidate trump that they could use his leverage over him, all of those reports were published a month after the elections, called the steele dossier. in september 2016, these things were not publicly known at all. these individual raw intelligence reports that were coming, and from a source, landed at the fbi. that's how that top counter a television's official peter strzok, described those reports. when he published a book about his experience last year. he said quote, what was significant about the material, is that it confirmed information, and players, that we knew to be accurate and in consistent with the way putin in the russians were operating. many other pieces of steals information, most of them in fact, we're devilishly hard to either prove or refute. but, the fbi's top counterintelligence official, he had to try. his team created a spreadsheet, of every statement in christopher's deals reports, you try to run each one down. they attempted to identify all the confidential sources and sub sources in the, report to try to analyze the quality of their intelligence, to interview those sources. he flew to europe to meet in person with people who knew christopher steele in his work. who all told him that they knew steel to be diligent and truthful. this is how peter strzok sums it up in his book. he says, quote in mid 2017, the end of the time i worked for verifying the steel material. my sense of it remained serial -- some things we could cooperate, a lesser number we could show were inaccurate. and with the vast majority, we just couldn't say. we treated it all accordingly. after trump became president, steele was in hiding for a while, and then he stayed morales off the radar for years. peter strzok and his colleagues at the fbi who pursued the counter intelligence investigation into trump and his campaign, they were all fired or hounded out of their jobs. but then, last month, christopher steele popped up again. he did an hour-long interview special with abc news is george stephanopoulos. in that interview, he said he stood behind his work, he said he still believes nothing in those reports has been disproven. and we've all been sort of wondering about the timing of. that why all this time did he come out to publicly defend his work. well, now maybe this is it, today the special counsel that was appointed during the trump administration, prosecutor cast by trump's attorney general bill barr. with investigating the russia investigation itself. to prove the whole thing was a hoax, that trump said all along to try to prove that it was criminal to investigate the russia matter. that special prosecutor, has just issued his second indictment. in the man he arrested in charge today, was a primary source for christopher steele's intelligence reports in 2016. durham's most recent indictment, before this, one was in my opinion, a little weird problematic. but when -- cybersecurity expert, who was in possession of research that showed a possible surreptitious communication channel between the trump organization and a criminal linked russian bank. special counsel john durham, charged this lawyer, with making a false statement, because when he brought this evidence to the fbi, he allegedly was inconsistent in his statements to, them about whether he was bringing this information to the fbi on his own behalf, or on behalf of his former democratic, clients or another client that he had that he was working for. everybody at the fbi knew this lawyer. and knew exactly who his clients were. and who is he was working, for it was not a secret. that he had those associations with the various democrats. but that indictment from john durham, does its best to turn that into a scandal. that's someone with ties to democrats brought information about trump and russian to the fbi. and the indictment in that case and pages and pages of unsupported allegations, backed with cherry picked quotes to try to paint the alleged communication channel between the trump organization in the russian bank as a big smear campaign, that was known to be false, that was nevertheless deliberately cooked up by the clinton campaign. to bamboozled the fbi, and make trump look bad. that of course tracks within supports the trump's insistence everything rush related was a hoax. that was the last indictment from john durham last month. today's indictment, against this primary source and researcher for christopher steele's intelligence report. this is about false statements, he allegedly made, to those fbi agents, working under peter strzok. who were trying to track down the reporting in 2016 2017. the guy who is charged today is named gordon cheng co-, he appeared in federal court in virginia today, he was charged with five counts of making false statements to the fbi, about his own sources for certain things, that made it into steele's reporting. and whether he did lie to the fbi, in those interviews, will not be a matter for the courts. but it also is worth noting that this new indictment just like the last, one has been comparatively little time talking about the alleged false statements, and a lot of time talking about people he came in contact, with or talked to, who are horror of horrors, democrats, people who may have even supported hillary clinton's presidential campaign in 2016. the unmistakable impression is that this indictment, is designed to smear steals intelligence report, as things that were deliberately made up and concocted by rascal-y democrats. even though, none of that has anything to do with the actual charges against mr. drenching co-. the goal here, is for this trump holder for special prosecutor, to try to discredit the whole russia investigation, by arresting various sources for that investigation, to discredit the steele dossier, because so many people have been led to think that that's the basis for the whole investigation, to get payback for anyone involved in the russia investigation, no matter how far down the chain, one of the actual investigators, the people who actually carried out the trump russia investigation itself, peter strzok, the former fbi top counterintelligence to fischel, who ran that part of the he indicted today, in charge today, whether it's coming claim smith the fbi attorney, and today then chain, go were all involved in matters which were very almost peripheral to the core of what we were looking at with regards to the russian investigation. let me be clear, lying to the fbi is a significant crime. it's a crime of national security advisers, it's a -- during his interviews with fbi agents. as you mentioned earlier, i have some concerns with the indictment of michael assessment, i'm concerned by whether or not that's a good use of government resources to charge him, but at the end of the day, it is a crime to lie to the fbi. which is not, true is the backdrop to all of this. next saturday john durham would've been going out for two and a half. years compare that to robert mueller who lasted less than two years. and in that time charged and convicted people like trump's national security adviser, his campaign manager, his personal attorney. his personal fixer. and a large number of very significant people that were key and critical to the trump campaign. and later to the administration. live look at these two players, i see folks that were not involved in any of those cases. robert mueller did not lie and steals information at all. the alpha bank information, was looked at by the fbi. and determined to not be anything. they weren't quite sure what it was. and then finally with regards to mr. done chant goes information, it was relevant to carter page. he managed about eight pages of almost 500-page mueller report. my worry is, as americans hear this news. they don't really know how the russia investigation and. did they hear these concerns and they say, while there must be a problem. most being picked up and amplified by people who are seizing on this. to say, see the entire effort, everything mueller, did everything the fbi did was nonsense, it's bogus and it's based on lies. that could not be further from the truth. the -- that take on what is going on here i feel like it's holstered by the way that these indictments have been presented to the public and presented to the court. at least, in the case that the indictment and now the case of the indictment today, the indictment, as it must, lays out narrowly the details of the alleged false statements. the alleged crime for which these gentlemen have been charged. but these are both, what we call, speaking indictments. and in the case of this indictment, a few weeks ago, and in the case of this indictment today, mr. durham, and these indictments, lay out, basically untarnished vague allegations that the alpha bank allegations about the trump organization, that all the allegations about mr. trump in the steele dossier -- these were deliberate sections that were knowingly cooked up by bad actors who were all democrats, who were making this stuff up, knowing that it was false, and giving it to the fbi. knowing that it was all made up. just to basically implicate the fbi in a dirty trick against trump. that is the public portrait. i believe he's trying to paint about the russian, at least these two elements, the steel, and the alphabet delegation. i'm a right to read that in the sort of speaking indictment? is that also the way that you see? it and do you feel like that overall allegation is fair for mr. -- ? >> i agree with you i'm simply concerned when i read these indictments about mr. drenching close, mr. dungeon codes indictment of 30 pages long. if you go through those 39 pages and pull out those facts that are actually relevant to the false statements that these elections are made to the fbi, that's a smaller subset, the smaller subsets are in smaller futures. and whether intentionally or, not if you look at the balance of those pages, they have subtle dog whistles to these kind of pro trump conspiracy theories. statements, like the fbi's investigation of the trump campaign relied on certain things. but there was never an fbi investigation of the trump campaign, unless you listen to some far stream right commentators that approach congress that there was, but there is nonsense. the indictment makes a point that the fbi was unable to cooperate field reportings. but at the same time, it clicks dimension, that we weren't able to disprove it even. so if you look through the subtle sort of one-sided portrayal of the facts that lay down a narrative that played into the sort of prior search by president trump, by the pride ministration, by the enables and congressman and the media, that this is all somehow nonsense. and that can't be unintentional in my opinion. and i think it's seeking to lay out the false narrative about the entire effort of what the fbi and the councilman did. >> peter strzok, former head of the counter. thank you for being here tonight >> i know that you have the choice whether to do interviews like, this and i'm sure it must be difficult to stick or neck out on nights like this,
