Cheyenne Hooper, 23, of Lima, was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison on a second-degree felony charge of endangering children for injuries sustained by her infant daughter nearly two years ago.

Lyla Stratton, who suffered potentially life-threatening injuries more than two years ago while in the care of her mother, Cheyenne Hooper, was outside the Allen County Justice Center on Thursday along side family and friends. Hooper was sentenced to eight year in prison for causing serious physical harm to the girl who was seven months old at the time.
