The budget is the only article expected to directly impact the tax rate for the coming year. The district is proposing a total budget of $26,768,736, about a 3 percent increase from last year. The estimated tax impact of passing this article in a 81 cent increase per $1,000 of assessed value for Jaffrey and an increase of $1.85 per $1,000 of assessed value for Rindge. The default budget, which will be adopted if district voters do not pass the proposed budget, is set at $27,142,266.
