Pretty much, Zoom is out : Most area towns discontinuing virtual meeting participation

“Pretty much, Zoom is out”: Most area towns discontinuing virtual meeting participation >Published: 7/1/2021 5:13:11 PM Virtual meetings became ubiquitous for town boards and committees over the past year. For some towns, the expiration of the state emergency order heralded a return to the pre-pandemic status quo, while other towns don’t want to give up the virtual format – and the wider access it provides. The State stopped allowing exclusively virtual municipal meetings on June 11. Now, every meeting must have a quorum of town board members in-person at a publicly accessible venue. Once that’s established, however, boards may offer a hybrid option in which additional board members call or Zoom in. They can also provide an option for members of the public to participate virtually, or at least view the meeting remotely.

Monadnock Ledger-Transcript - Summer school programs are first opportunity to recover pandemic losses

Monadnock Ledger-Transcript Published: 6/23/2021 3:08:30 PM Learning disruptions related to COVID-19 may be receding into the rearview mirror, and for many school districts, it’s time to start catching up students who may have fallen behind in their studies during the pandemic. That starts with summer programming, which is coming together despite initial fears that pandemic burnout would take its toll on staff and students alike. ConVal ConVal devised a detailed learning recovery plan to quickly return students to meeting grade-level expectations. Without intervention, students who fell behind during the pandemic could remain behind their peers long-term, with potential impacts to their career opportunities and future earnings, Assistant Superintendent Ann Forrest said during a presentation for the School Board in April.
