Meece was a member of the Rotary vocational training team that flew to the African nation of Zambia to help farmers improve crops. The training helped increase crop yields for Zambian farm families.
The Paul Harris Fellowship is one of the highest awards given in Rotary, a worldwide organization of about 35,000 clubs and a membership of 1.22 million.
