Mayor appoints three to committee exploring new ~$42 million Casper Police headquarters By Brendan LaChance on February 16, 2021 A crowd gathers outside of the Natrona County Hall of Justice (Oil City staff) CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Mayor Steve Freel said ahead of the city council’s Tuesday, Feb. 16 meeting that three council members have been appointed to serve on a committee that will be established to explore how to pursue a project to build a new Casper Police Department headquarters. Freel appointed Council members Lisa Engebretsen, Steve Cathey and Bruce Knell to the committee. Freel said he would also attend some of the committee’s meetings.
