OXFORD â In the days following the cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline, residents all around North Carolina have been forced to deal with mounting shortages at gas stations. The Valero gas station on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Oxford was one of the locations on Wednesday that still had some fuel to spare, but manager-in-training Patricia Holman said the situation was anything but serene. âWe got a truck in [on Wednesday] surprisingly enough,â Holman said. âIt happened out of the blue and we had no clue that we were even going to get anything. Itâs really chaotic right now. I tried to help an elderly customer earlier in the day and there were two guys just about to brawl.â
