COLOMBO (News 1st): Legal action will be instituted against the residents who provided accommodation to the 22-year-old COVID-19 patient from Sapugaskanda who was reported missing on Saturday (27), Sri Lanka Police said on Monday (Dec. 28).
“We are going to take legal action against the people who accommodated the 22-year-old COVID-19 patient at their residence for 18-hours. They had intentionally accommodated the patient, with the knowledge that he was ordered to follow the quarantine procedure. They disregarded the quarantine order and accommodated the patient,” Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana pointed out.
The residents will face legal action once they complete the quarantine procedure, the Deputy Police Chief reiterated.
