Leda Eizenberg Background and experience A proud graduate of Wellesley Public Schools, I was so inspired by my teachers that I became one. I taught English in Hingham to sophomores with high-support needs, as well as AP Literature and Composition to 12th graders. I wrote districtwide curriculum, mentored new teachers, developed antiracist initiatives, and was a founding member of the Instructional Support Intervention Team, which developed cross-curricular plans for struggling students. Now I’m the parent of elementary-aged children, one of whom receives special education services, and I would like to bring these perspectives to the committee, along with knowledge gleaned from volunteering in town. I’ve served on Town Meeting since 2017. I’m on the board of World of Wellesley and co-chair the Antiracism Action Committee with WHS student-leaders. I’m also co-president of the Upham PTO, the Upham representative to the Parent Advisory Council, and a board member of the Wellesley Education Foundation. These varied experiences will enable me to interrogate assumptions and to seek information from various stakeholders, while advocating within Wellesley for the needs of students and educators.
