A Stourbridge man has been hit with a ‘bill’ of £7,481 after he admitted allowing premises to be used which were shut for safety reasons. Dharminder Singh Dale, of Platts Crescent, had knowingly allowed a building in Walsall to be used when it had been prohibited under the Housing Act because of an electrical hazard. He was fined £5,000, ordered to pay £2,300 costs and to pay £181 into the victim services fund. Other recent cases at Black County Magistrates Court included: A Rowley Regis man has been £150 and ordered to pay £269 in costs and compensation after stealing cash from an Oldbury garage. Matthew Tierney, aged 35, of Durham Road, admitted stealing, jointly with another man, an unknown amount of cash from a Texaco service station.
