Last Call with Steve Favulli, Box 4 President Sarah Connell Sanders Correspondent Steve Favulli has dedicated his retirement from the Worcester Fire Department to operating the Box 4 Worcester Canteen Truck, an incident rehab vehicle for public safety personnel. How long were you a Worcester firefighter? I went on the fire department on June 19, 1983, and I retired on August 14th, 2014. You could call it 32 years. Where was your home station? Central Division, which is now a hotel. I was there for 21 years and then they knocked the building down and temporarily relocated us to Grove Street. Then, we moved to Franklin Street when it opened and that's where I finished my career. I was the third generation of the first Italian firefighter in the city of Worcester. The day I graduated, I got my grandfather's badge.
