Share Lady Eagles Clinch Playoff Berth To Compete For Bi-District Title The Hillsboro High School varsity softball team nailed down the third seed in Class 11-4A after beating Alvarado 9-8 in the regular season finale in Alvarado Saturday, April 24. The win put the Lady Eagles' district record at 4-4 and the season record at 8-12. Hillsboro head coach Ashley Currington credits her team's work ethic and dedication as key factors in producing a playoff berth. Currington's first season as head coach was last year, but due to COVID-19, the season was canceled. She said that delayed the development of the bond that a coach has with players.
