washington township mayor barbara wallace has lived in town for almost 50 years. >> this is far far greater than any storm we have ever seen. >> reporter: now that down trees are leaving yard they are finding their way in the street, a big problem according to the mayor. >> it becomes a safety issue and problem for emergency vehicles. >> reporter: thinks where tree debris should go the median but cluttered streets like this are all over washington township and in many cases storm drains continue to block. >> we have a 17 year-old driving around and it is hard for him to get through, still getting the car getting scratched by all the debris in the street. >> reporter: mayor wallace says the township contracted with smaller companies but they are in the clearing the roads quick enough putting residents in the difficult position. >> where else will you put it, same placees as other people i had to put in the street too. >> reporter: those smaller private companies will be out to remove the debris later today, in the meantime, if you can, make sure to get that debris, out of the road and back on to the median. reporting from washington township, david spunt for cbs-3 few showers firing up as early as in mid to late morning we will satisfaction through western suburbs. give it until afternoon for philadelphia and south east here but it looks like by 3:00 p.m. as
