Last month, the heat wave led to rolling blackouts without warning when there was not enough power to go around. This time around, officials are getting the word out early. The entire west is competing for going into this period. This is the sort of event that happens every 10 years or so, and this is a sort of statewide heat event. The bay area air Quality Management district said this long stream of until time. They urge people in areas impacted to stay inside with windows and doors closed.
