In santa clara counties, rubber shops and malls, allowing customers inside. Next week, the county may get the green light from the state to resume more indoor operations. We are in the purple tier at this moment, and the calculations are being done at the state. We expect to be in the red tier by next tuesday. Santa clara county is in the lowest tier, in purple, with widespread risk. The governors new system for reopening could soon join San Francisco and napa counties, and the red meaning less adjustments to Santa Clara Countys coronavirus case rates. Red means museums, places of worship, movie theaters, Indoor Dining could reopen 25 capacity. County Officials Say thats unlikely. It will continue until late monday night. Chp and other Law Enforcement officers will be out there watching for drunk or impaired drivers. They are also urging everybody traveling this holiday weekend, wear a mask when you are out in public and practice safe social distancing. The bay areas three big airports expect a slow but steady return to air travel to continue this holiday weekend. About 20,000 are expected to fly in and out of Oakland International airport over the Labor Day Weekend. Last year it was about 200,000 people. Police say they found the driver of a big truck who hit and killed a man who was crossing the street in downtown san jose. It happened just after 6 00, yesterday morning, at west santa clara street and notre dame avenue. Investigators say it doesnt appear the victim was in a crosswalk when that crosswalk, when the driver hit him. Police say the driver was later found and is cooperating in the investigation. If you can imagine a vehicle that size, what it does to a pedestrian, we are asking if anyone saw the collision to get in touch with us. No emergency crews took the victim to the hospital, but he died later from injuries. This was a 28, 12, involving a pedestrian. A string of thefts from several stores, take a look at video of the incident back on august 20th, showing some of the suspects there.
