You can see it here. Southbound 17, this crash involving a car that hit a wall and unfortunately it was a deadly crash. You can see most of the lanes are blocked here as chp and tow crews get ready to take the car away. But it happened just before 3 00 this morning. And, at one point, it was blocking all the lanes. Northbound 17, the other way. Thats the typical commute direction. These days we havent had much of a commute as you understand, but still, it has been causing a little bit of a slow down. So if youre driving on 17 southbound, you can expect a slow down and use a little bit of extra care there. Dave and pam, lets go back to you. Governor newsom says california needs 20,000 hospital beds to handle an increase in the coronavirus cases. Thats a lot. California will need many more beds if things get worse. Right now we have 78,000 hospital beds but doctors worry that may not be enough. Meantime, the governor is closing the parking lots of state parks and beaches to reduce the number of people going there. Right now, california has more than 2,200 people infected with the coronavirus. One of the five people who tested positive for the coronavirus at a peninsula assisted living facility has died. San

The goal here is to not overwhelm the lab. We have to be able to be responsible and administer a certain amount of tests that the lab can process. Hayward firefighters and paramedics are administering the free tests. Theyre open to anyone. It doesnt matter where you live. Test results are expected back within less than 24 hours. Theres also drivethru testing in walnut creek. You cant just show up for a test. A doctor as to set up an appointment for you and your id will be checked when you arrive the governors of oregon and washington have each issued a stay at home order. 16 states in oregon that includes closing arcades, gyms, hair salons.
