And reaction in the areas that are burnt are going to stay out of the streams. Those plans were placed not long after the fire burned 77,000 acres. The fire destroyed 177 homes. That fire is now 50 contained. Officials say that overnight blaze helped the fire fight and they expect that containment number to grow today. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The Oakland Airport suffered a power outage in the middle of the storm. Lights went out. Lines at Security Check points came to a stand still because the screeners could not use the equipment. People who already reached the states were not allowed to board. We came here from atlanta and we were standing here and the lights went off and everyone was kind of like uh, oh. Hundreds of bags were backlogged in the system. People left without their things. I got off the plane a little after 6 00 and then as i was walking to the baggage claim the power all went out. So by the time i got to here the emergency power was back on but it wasnt working on the baggage claim so i waited for maybe a half an hour and decided to go. By morning travelers could return to the airport to be reunited with their bags. Southwest had suitcases separated by flight order. A few hours sleeping came back to get plain clothes. It wasnt terrible. It would have been a real pain. Communication wasnt great because i dont think they really know what happened. They said we dont have any idea how long its going to take. Stay if you want. I also felt bad for everyone check engine. If you flew southwest this is what employees could expect to see. To navigate through these roads of suitcases. Over at sfo it wasnt a power outage but a protest that added to holiday chaos at San Francisco international. Yesterday, dozens of workers staged protests inside and outside at sfo. And these are the snow reports in the lake tahoe area. As we come in closer to the bay area still this Lightning Strike here. The south bay. So we have some instability if you look outside you can probably see those puffy white clouds develop and that could produce the thunderstorms. Dublin closer to fremont. Closer to the sunnivale area. Its coming closer right now. Theres some of the coverage still some shower activity developing right there. It could be a sudden downpour. Were going for a drive conditions will change rapidly. As we mentioned a little bit of snow showing up on the bay area radar. We showed you this camera earlier. It is cold enough with the snow levels dropping to keep that snow in the forecast for us. The main impact with the real significance falls out towards the sierra. This was the deal yesterday. This was a source that heavy rainfall produced last night. With that some scattered showers and some low snow levels and then into the weekend we are tracking another system which could produce the moderate to heavy rainfall especially saturday evening and into sunday. Heres the forecast model into the weekend. Look at these numbers that go up dramatically. It looks like were shifting into a much more productive pattern in the bay that could produce significant rainfall. Today scattered showers off and on. A possibility of a thunderstorm. Its one of those deals where one neighborhood might have complete sunshine and all of a sudden you have these sudden downpours developing that could lead to heavy downpours and maybe some normals as well. Todays going to be one of those unsettled days in the forecast if are your wednesday but then some changes develop for your thursday forecast. Thank you.
