For a staff meeting where an employee says hallowell apologized. The 44yearold declined to comment on camera. He referred us to his statement before he drove off. Part of that statement reads,  quote, we have come to a reckoning point in the history of male bosses behaving badly and i believe in this reckoning and i stand behind it. I understand that i cannot right the past wrongs and at the same time, i take full responsibility for all of my actions. But hallowell may already be losing some customers. I want to support businesses that support other women and its frustrating to me that things like this that i truly enjoined could be tainted that knowing by supporting him im also supporting a culture that perpetuates the harassment and denigration of women. I think the easy answer would be, like, yes im not going to im going to boycott going to these places . On the other hand, theres a lot of people who work at both these places although dont necessarily have anything to do with the owner right and are, like, relatively innocent and its their livelihoods too so i think theres, like, two sides to that . The democrat defeated embattled republican roy moore by about 22,000 votes in the special election for the seat formerly held by attorney general jeff sessions. Moore refused to concede. State Election Officials certified the results saying the margin of victory increased after all the outstanding ballots were counted. The margin of victory in the election was 21,924. Its 1. 63 of the votes. Thats up from 1. 54 based on the unofficial results on election night. Roy moore filed a lawsuit yesterday claiming voting irregularities. But today a judge refused to delay the certification saying there was no evidence of fraud. In a statement today, moore did not concede but called the election fraudulent and said he had no regrets. Officials say moores last recourse would be to pay for a recount himself. On january 1st, the use of Recreational Marijuana will be legal in california. Thats causing a lot of uncertainty at airports. Ktvus alyana gomez is in our newsroom with more. Reporter a lot of people asking can i Bring Marijuana to the airport . Will i be arrested . Those are the kind of questions that people often ask friends and end up not taking the chance because they dont get the right answer. So we are taking those questions to Law Enforcement to weed out the misnomers about traveling with legal pot. Reporter marijuana enthusiasts are beaming at the thought of lighting up and stocking up on their favorite flower come january 1st but like alcohol, there are levels to this. There are limits to how much booze you bring to the airport. And the same goes for marijuana. So at the airport every day people come through with medicinal and personal use marijuana. And we dont do anything with it. Its up to the tsa whether they want to let it through the screening or the particular airline if they want to let the person on with the marijuana. Reporter heres how the process works. Once the tsa discovers the pot, they will likely call Law Enforcement for help because tsa agents cant confiscate your items or arrest you. So its up to the officer to determine whether youre violating california law. The Alameda County Sheriffs Office says if you are bringing less than an ounce of marijuana or edibles through the Oakland International airport, youre likely in the clear. Reporter these are pictures of some of the large quantities of marijuana that the Sheriffs Department confiscated this year bags and suitcases full of it. Were talking about pounds and pounds of pot, which would get you thrown in jail for trafficking. So far this year the Alameda County Sheriffs Office confiscated 810 pounds of marijuana from the oakland airport, 171 pounds in october, 183 pounds in november, and just over 11 pounds this month. Thank you. The fbi announced the arrest of a man dubbed the orange goatee bandit accused of robbing banks in fremont and millbrae this month. The suspect was taken into custody in colorado where he is also accused of robbing banks. The fbi said tips on social media helped agents track down the suspect. A judge today denied bail to the former marine accused of plotting a terrorist attack on Christmas Day in San Francisco. 26yearold Everitt Jameson of modesto appeared in federal court in fresno this afternoon. The judge called him a danger to the public. Court documents show jameson had recently converted to islam. Agents said he was planning an isisinspired terrorist attack at pier 39. The fbi says jameson told an undercover agent about his plans. Oakland police are asking people to celebrate the new year safely. They are concerned about the use of illegal fireworks such as these from the 4th of july. They are also reminding people that shooting guns is also illegal and dangerous. Possession of illegal fireworks could result in a 10,000 fine and jail time. Police released Surveillance Video of assault and attempted robbery at a berkeley gas station hoping someone will recognize the attacker. It happened about 8 p. M. On december 21st at the chevron station on san pablo avenue and gilman street. You can see in the video the suspect jumps overthecounter and attacks the clerk. He then tries to open the Cash Register unsuccessfully. The man then took off running west on gilman street. The clerk had minor injuries. Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes that attacker to call police. In oakland, a family is grieving tonight over the death of a father and Community Activist just days before adddress. Our Crime Reporter henry lee talked to the victims widow who is still trying to figure out how to tell her 7yearold daughter that her father isnt coming home. Im shocked. Im hurt. Im mad. Im angry. Im hurt like this is my daughters dad. This is the person i share my life with. Reporter Christine Miller says her 7yearold daughter priscilla knows that something is wrong. She asked for her dad. She asked for her dad yesterday and the day before that. And right now, im just you know, im, like, im, like, so numb right now. Reporter priscillas father, 30yearold dominique johnson, was shot and killed in west oakland two days before christmas. When it was time to open presents, his family held in their grief as the little girl opened presents from her dad, a science kit and a doll, gifts she asked for the whole year. She was so happy on christmas. And i was crying all night the night before. We couldnt sleep. We couldnt do anything but we had to, like, put on a mask. Reporter miller says she didnt want priscilla to associate christmas with a passing of her father. But she says her daughter needs to know what happened. She is not sure how do it, though. How do you tell your child that she is asking you and i dont know what to say. Reporter on saturday night, johnson was found shot to death on brush street near west grand in west oakland. The killing happened moments after johnson left a Community Social Justice Center around the corner where he was a volunteer. A memorial sits near the spot where he was killed. Johnson, who everyone called dom, stood up for what he believed was right. He spoke up on behalf of the homeless, inmates and people of color. He walked the streets during the occupy Oakland Movement to protest injustice. The little girls mother says the next question she will get is who did it . That makes her angry because she knows someone out there knows who did it. My brother didnt deserve this. He didnt deserve this at all. Reporter no word on suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call oakland police. In oakland, henry lee, ktvu fox 2 news. A man accused of setting a series of fires in antioch is behind bars. Police say they arrested a 37 yearold homeless man Jose Luis Gomez in connection with five fires along a street in antioch this month. He has been charged with four counts of arson and one count of attempted arson. At least two of the fires he is charged with burnt vacant buildings. Arson investigators are trying to determine if gomez may have set additional fires along a street that damaged homes. No word on motive. Some people in the south bay are concerned after two minor earthquakes this week. Ktvus Maureen Naylor talked with some earthquake experts today about what the recent earthquakes could mean. Reporter this 3yearold slept through tuesday nights minor quake but her mom was awake here on the couch at home in alum rock. It felt like a big jolt. My heart was pounding. Reporter ann wilson says she was surprised that jolt was only a 3. 9 on the richter scale. It just felt so much bigger than the last couple we felt. It was fairly unsettling. [ laughter ] because you just think to yourself, when is the big one going to hit . Reporter the couple is some of the 9,000 people who reported feeling tuesdays earthquake, which was the second and similar size in just a few hours. This is the magnitude 3. 1. Reporter a 3. 1 quake centered in san martin struck around 7 15 tuesday night followed by a 3. 9 earthquake three hours later centered in east san jose. So that kind of raises the question, what was the reason for these two earthquakes occurring three hours apart . I mean, the short answer is, we dont know why. But they do seem to have been related to each other somehow. Reporter art says tuesdays quakes are not unusual. And not necessarily foreshocks for a bigger one but notes a high chance of a bigger temblor hitting the bay area. In fact, a 72 probability of a 6. 7 earthquake or greater in the bay area from now until 2043 and he says the hayward fault having the highest likelihood with 33 chance of a big quake followed by the calaveras fault at 26 and San Andreas Fault at 22 . Temperatures tomorrow are going to stay cool very cool especially in this Northern Tier up here. Youre seeing all the way down to st. Louis and even atlanta, down to 46 degrees thats kind of the daytime high tomorrow so this cool plug of air really creating frosty conditions. Not as bad as you might think with the snow flurries and ice. Chicago at 12 degrees right now. Theres no delays and newark has delays but moderate. So really despite the inclement cold weather, the airports, the major hubs have been humming along nicely. The big delay in San Francisco was because of the fog. Clouds offshore are just missing us. An investigation into a deadly crash in Mountain View last night. A motorcycle rider was killed when he slammed into the side of a google shuttle bus. A spokesman for google release a statement that says in part new Crime Statistics in San Francisco show the number of car breakins in the city has spiked more than 25 since last year.
