Vallejo down the east bay shoreline, even some sections of the city in the coastline that are really looking at some dense fog embarcadero looks fine. But you head on over to the other side of the bay and on up towards the as and we are looking at some really dense stuff pushing on into the delta there. Also some pockets up in the north bay. And as i mentioned out along the coastline, so taking a little bit easier out there this morning, much like yesterday. That fog pressed right into the bay. So its a very thin veil. But where youre seeing it, it is definitely on the debt side. Now, aside from that skies are dry. Going to be a little misty drizzly and some of those particularly foggy spots. Current temperatures are in the 50s to 60s with dublin sitting at 56 degrees petaluma at 58 oaklandalameda concord each in the low 60s right now. Now come later on today. Daytime highs are going to be noticeably warmer than they were yesterday rising further into the 80s for our inland areas. Lot of upper 70s along the bay even inching towards the 70s out along the coastline. And its just the start of even warmer weather for the remainder of the week. All talk about this weeks warm up. Police say 2 women, they were sitting in the car. They were shot. One of died. Now police later found that shooter with a selfinflicted gunshot wound in a remote wooded area of cupertino. Kron 4 Sarah Stinson has the latest on that. Neighbors say theyre shaken up. They did not expect Something Like this to happen in their normally safe neighborhood and same with police. They havent investigated a homicide since 2021. Its extremely shocking because stuff like that doesnt happen here. A tragic scene unfolding in this quiet sunnyvale neighborhood around 5. 30, monday morning. Neighbors called 911 reporting screaming and gunshots coming from a home on care. Strike the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety says when officers arrived, they found 2 women shot in the car outside the home. Tragically, one of victims did not survive. The other victim was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment. Police say the woman is expected to recover. She was able to tell officers the name of the man who shot them and what kind of car he drove off shortly after police tried to pull over the suspected shooter, but he fled leading to a pursuit, but it ended after they lost sight of him. Less than an hour later, Santa Clara County sheriffs deputies found the man in his car of Stevens Canyon road in cupertino. They followed him for a short while. And then lost sight of him, wanted to find the suspect again, his vehicle was parked. The suspect was located in the vehicle deceased. Whats what appeared to be a selfinflicted gunshot wound . Police did not get much information about the man but said that he and the victim knew each other. Police also added the man was in his late 50s, lived in sunnyvale for many years and that police had contact with him before he was known to neighbors as well was living at his parents house. He . He corrupt. There were definitely aware of surrounding this particular house sharing has lived in this neighborhood for nearly 21 years. She says its normally such a safe area. Union members are asking for a 4 increase for the 2022 2023 school year and a 12 increase for this school year. Well, the superintendent for the district went on record offering a 4 increase. In the east bay days after the city of oakland surpassed 100 homicides this year alone, Community Members are now discussing Public Safety. So you can get the idea here all uphill daytime highs in the city. A little warmer today. Still 60s 70s out along the coastline while looking at a lot of 70s to 80s elsewhere. Definitely more 80s on the map today than there were yesterday, including along the bay shore of the peninsula, the south bay and for the east bay fremont just shy of 80 degrees while the tri valley on up through concord easily making that mark oakland, youll be at 76 today with allay at 81 after a foggy morning about to get hot and sunny for a lot of these spots. Were only getting hotter, as i mentioned, thursday is going to be the very warmest of the forecast highs in the mid 90s inland upper 80s by the bay and even some low 80s all the way up to the coastline.
