So first the black lives matter sign has to be visible and it can only say black lives matter nothing else also the posters must be visible to the general public and Police Stations have 30 days from the time that this was passed to actually display those posters now the sides must be at least 32 by 24 inches and they must prominently in exclusively feature that expression, black lives matter the posters are signs also need to be placed in a location that is visible by the general public when visiting the station and it cannot be blocked from view the resolution also mention that the San FranciscoPolice Department has been on the front lines of putting in place of many Critical Reforms related to Police Accountability by is free police scene along with Community Policing now if the site is damaged in any way they also have to replace that side now as i mentioned they have 30 days from the time this resolution was passed to put that in place but in addition to the sine marty there also institute in on bias training for new recruits that are coming into the department so those are just a few of the things the department has put in place in the coming weeks to try to change the culture now reporting here in San FranciscoReyna Harvey Kron 4 news. This approach is recommended to public and private schools of all grade levels and is due to the rising coronavirus numbers are in and the bay area theyre also worried about the increasing them. Numbers of cases within young people the goal is to prepare students and staff to eventually be in schools full time, but with the health of everyone in mind officials are discussing precautions such as. Distancing between teachers and students using outdoor areas for teaching as much as possible Guiding Movement through hallways. So nobodys congregating in hanging out. No large gatherings use of playgrounds will be limited as well. Kron fours michelle kingston shows us what that mom has up her sleeve to help her children and others within the community. Students will not be back in the classroom here in brentwood instead will be distant learning, but one parent has a creative plan to help those students and parents get through the semester after Brentwood UnionSchool District voted to continue Distance Learning this fall, kathy daniel wrote in a local Facebook Group asking if parents would be interested in getting their Children Together in small groups to help each other this upcoming semester within days she had a list of more than 600 students if you want to do this let me know that kids you have a great stir in. In brentwood, michelle kingston kron 4 news. Still ahead on the kron 00 04am morning news, good news for families who wish to visit their relatives in longterm care facilities. Well have details on the new health order that eases restrictions plus which east bay county is now considering issuing citations to businesses that are not complying with Current Health orders, the fines that they may face and after the break San Francisco sees a spike in coronavirus cases and an increase in testing the man the problem, the city is now facing. A look outside at the san mateo bridge. Its our busiest bridge this morning with lots of traffic leaving hayward heading to the peninsula but its still hot spot free well be right back. Welcome back everyone, the time is 6. 13 good morning and thanks for staying with us to feel pretty good when i stepped outside this morning. So. Lets head over to the Weather Center get an update now on your forecast with a spark a day robin good morning, good morning. Everybody, im not a bad day today in fact a live shot coming in from sfo lot of this overcast. Fog situation i know, but no delays going on there have been noticing theirs still quite a bit of traffic coming in from the plains and such 50s up there the north bay 62 for open 60 hayward inland much the same for now we have an added a couple ing at 56 San Francisco, Half Moon Bay at about 5558 meanwhile for san jose which the fog is it looks like well be trailing away and the later Morning Hours but even as late as high noon problem areas remain and places like Half Moon Bay and up to the north bay as you will notice up 2 point re in the coastal areas so this may remain somewhat over castro to fight with the clouds through much of today, it looks like elsewhere throughout the bay should probably sneak into that mostly sunny mode, although it may be delayed until the late Morning Hours at least into a clean things up thats the surface moisture thats that you know that marine Layer Moisture that comes in typically every morning. We have another type of moisture lookout for way upstream here. This is the monsoon that starts to bubble bubble up this time of year. And suppose it makes it out here gives us some rain occasionally but for the sierra were talking about just a little bit its going to increase the humidity levels a little bit but it does show up in the forecast models this is the low level moisture there evaporates away mixes out boom, theres the monsoon moisture off to the far east and then we do the same thing again with the fog returning onshore winds and such little flare up happens on friday, this is typical in the summer months and that very modest effort you can see by friday now we get into the weekend. We got a little warming phase coming our way as well yes, heres how it shakes down this is the bay bridge toll plaza still overcast off to the distance. Morning fog, no kidding scattered afternoon clouds linger a bit warm now and then for friday much the same or talking about inland areas in some cases reaching to about 90. But most pay of places not getting there that will do so by this weekend lower to middle 90s expected. Well inland here and just a minor warm up with that and thats minor because as we get into next week temperatures will retreat again and well go back to kind of seasonality it looks like for today again 66 San Francisco, open 72. 84 san jose skies may look like this well in the afternoon at coastal locations. However i think theyre going to prove a lot more on the immediate they in certainly inland by the afternoon 94 any off the high today, 79 mile degrees up to napa 81 for santa rosa 84, san jose. Now coming up a little bit here well take a closer inspection of all of this in terms your 4 zone forecast. And of course have that extended right now take a look at traffic whats going on robin its getting a little busy out there but its still not bad. We have a little bit of a line at the bay bridge toll plaza this is the heaviest, its been all morning like what 5, 6 cars deep. No problems heading into San Francisco. So just a minor wait a great time to come on and before it gets too bad under 10 minutes to make it off to the fremont street exit. All right, lets check in on some more bridges, we have one oh one across the golden gate. Your trip from the north bay to San Francisco will be fine nevado sandra fell larkspur mill valley sausalito south 1 one doing just fine all the way into the city and we have one more 92, its our busiest which means just a little crowded on the flat section. We dont have any problems here between the peninsula and the east bay, so it will be under 30 minutes between the nimitz and the bayshore rd ok robin will in the east bay berkeley is the first city in the country to remove Police Officers from traffic duty. For sleeping berkeley mayor Jesse Arreguin says that one goal of the plan is to curtail racial profiling. And this will not be free up money inner city budget 44 of our general fund funds are Police Department so its unsustainable longterm. But also this will enable Police Officers to focus on what theyre trained to do which is addressed serious and violent crimes. The berkeley Police Department responded to the mayors plan in a statement that reads in part. We look forward to engaging with our community and working together the best possible approaches tore safety in our neighborhoods and across our city. Also in these bay, the state has given Alameda County a green light to resume Outdoor Dining thats after pulling the plug on the activity just last friday. Kron fours dan kerman has the details. This buys a calmer german restaurant in alameda, theyre setting up again for Outdoor Dining im so thankful that they you know the Health Department and the board supervisors and the state got it turned around so quickly Outdoor Dining began in Alameda County on june 19th only to be suspended by the state last friday because the state said the county had not received a waiver to proceed that okay came wednesday morning meaning restaurants do not have to resort to pick up and delivery only which wont even pay the bills. And now this make it was like why didnt i am still stopping it. And able to pay my bills and pay my staff. We employ people. You know, im not saying were making profit. But at the end as long as were all make it a break and a check. It thats thats humongous concerns over laying off staff and not being able to pay the bills for some restaurants like dimitris to verna to stay open over the last few days. Still getting the states. Ok means a lot, especially the new restaurants like azul back any to tell you how to be a way our shoulders. My wife and i were just. Or or overwhelmingly happy that this does happen, but the on again off again nature of the states directives and the rapid spread of covid19 means its no time for restaurants to breathe easy. Its still day to may next obstacle for us unless Something Else comes along wintertime. Rain and all that stuff and now were going to deal with that. In addition to Outdoor Dining the state waiver also allows the oakland zoo to reopen for Outdoo
