Well take a live look outside right now as we talk about our 4 zone forecast here is downtown San Francisco. Looking towards the east bay. We dont see any of the smoke from the fires that are burning they would be a little too far north for this camera angle, but people are seeing and smelling smoke lawrence who live near these fires us what theyre telling me on twitter anyway so the winds must be playing a role in pushing that smoke around yeah absolutely and mainly coming out of the west and moving toward the east right now but. As those winds begin to die down overnight tonight some of that smoke likely to filter in and kind of fill in the parts of the bay area so well be watching that very closely throughout the night tonight weve seen white caps out there on the waters as the winds have just been whipping around outside looking toward sfo, some gusty winds there we had one gust in the last hour so that was over 40 Miles Per Hour. Good afternoon. That is correct. Work 2000 acres as of late morning. 20 containment weve been actively working at all day. The fire is not being away from the city is still running in a southeast direction. If at that moment on it with that wind down here but im to 10 miles an hour. For people who might not be familiar with this area and therefore your baby land. The Altamont Pass through on friday. Its similar to that is open grassland cat tree. There are ranches and farms out there but theres better and so we just got a lot of grass ensure out and brush out there. And so far 2 structures have been lost but says the fire is moving away from the city of gilroy and sort of into this open grassland whats the strategy for tonight to get this fire under control.
