We dont see any of the smoke from the fires that are burning they would be a little too far north for this camera angle, but people are seeing and smelling smoke lawrence who live near these fires us what theyre telling me on twitter anyway so the winds must be playing a role in pushing that smoke around yeah absolutely and mainly coming out of the west and moving toward the east right now but. So certainly some changes coming our way as weve got that sea breeze kicking in to get those up temperatures in the central valley, those rise up and all that cool air moves in from the ocean to kind of bring our sea breeze throughout the bay area and thats what we see all summer long so this well unusual and there you go you see the winds popping up around the bay area, some 20 some 40 mile an hour winds popping up out there as well that will continue for the next few hours in fact watch the forecast as we take you through the night tonight, those winds do begin to subside overnight tonight into i think by tomorrow afternoon, even though theyll be a sea breeze not going to be a strong as wind event by tomorrow afternoon just a more light breeze maybe some of those winds at 20 Miles Per Hour thats probably about the strongest temperature wise about 76 degrees in san jose right now 82. In morgan hill 59 in pacifica 61 in San Francisco 82 degrees in concord so have 90 degrees in santa rosa at this hour, 91 in st. Louis that tonight, mostly clear a bit on the windy side to begin the evening and those winds begin to subside theres a patch of coastal fog likely to moving out toward the beaches. Tomorrow patchy fog giving way to some sunshine. Were going to slowly watch things warming up around the bay area tomorrow afternoon were up in the 80s, some 90s showing up in land lot of 70s and 80s around the bay and some 60s up toward the coast. Right just trying to keep ahead of it at this point the hope that the weather cooperates with us. We kron fours rob fladeboe on that scene reporting for us. We have a live report from him a top of the hour. He was saying that one of the concerns was that you didnt want the fire to jump. Highway one 52. Yeah thats correct. We dont want to jump highway, one 52. If it does it on the outside of one 52. Its its wide open all the way down interstate 5. And so we want to try and stop it before it that highway. Playing a big factor in the fires burning around the bay area tonight, yeah, just in those winds whipping around the bay area of course this comes in the afternoon this the peak of the winds. That will be developing over the next couple of hours maybe 3 hours or so before they start decreasing but out toward the golden gate bridge. You see the flag out there blowing in the wind up westerly breeze some of those gusto been uppers of 40 Miles Per Hour. Overnight tonight well see a return of some patchy fog, the winds will begin to decrease and some of that fog moving in along the coastline just a few patches and then back to sunshine tomorrow looks like another nice afternoon. The faa going to thicken up a little bit more so into wednesday, but looks like some nice days ahead as the temperatures going to start to warm up about 68 degrees downtown San Francisco, 70 in the mission looking at 59 in cooler pacific with a couple of patches of fog in the morning and a breeze by the afternoon 71 in millbrae 72. In burlingame 73 in foster city and san mateo 76 in redwood city about 78 in mount view the south they are going to be filled with 70s 80s warm temperatures as we head throughout the mideighties in the pledge to maybe 90 in livermore about 85 degrees in walnut creek 88 in concord 77 in richmond and about 74 degrees in oakland that delta breeze will blow once again, although i think tomorrow afternoon instead of the 30 plus mile an hour winds weve seen around the bay area were talking 10 in 20 mile an hour winds. So those winds going to come down by tomorrow afternoon so that sea breeze is going to blow 90 degrees in santa rosa on the hot side and 77 in sandra fell next couple days will slowly warm things up as we get the weekend some most temperatures pushing up get the hot in the midnineties cooling down slightly on monday.
