That is an absolutely great question you know i dont know where the police are going to go to. All i know is that this has been an effort by the community to try to redirect some of those resources but that is a great question of one of the same thing if they were going to go and work for opd but whats going to happen to the officers but for now i think the main focus is the students and then as the story continues to develop. Theres new research that projects nearly 180,000 people in the country could die from coronavirus by october 1st. Now this comes as california set a brand new record for the number of new cases of the virus in one day. Kron 4 Sarah Stinson live in San Francisco with the details and sarah this is showing us whats happening when so many people are congregating and so many of them dont have masks. Yeah looks like nah so the key to success here and buy success i mean lowering the death rate and that is the only way we personally can help these numbers and stop them from growing. Also staying home as much as possible even though were seeing our communities reopen and take a look at this chart it shows productions are 58,000 more people die of the coronavirus in our country by october first quite alarming in this chart put out from the university of washington it shows a projection of 179,000 deaths by october first remember these are all projections created by their come their computer models which we have been closely monitoring and referring to on the kron 00 04am morning news since the beginning of the pandemic at one point the chart showed a prediction of the death toll exceeding 200,000 so it has gone down a little bit right now in the u. I dont think its anything that the state of california is doing wrong not its what the response of the to what the opening process is you dont really need to go back to lock down he need to pause and say wait a minute. Were starting to opening and things are going right what do we need to do to correct that you may need to stay where you are in impose a few more restrictions or maybe back up a little. And you heard and i mean its up to you and i us as the customers as i say because weve seen a lot of companies. The employers the Business Owners taking a lot of precautions to make sure were safe as we enter restaurants or as we enter you know a retail shop so its up to us to wear that mask keep that distance and make sure that were following the rules because as we looked at earlier though that was a lot of numbers but those are just numbers thats projected number of people those are human beings. Anybody you and could die of the coronavirus and thats why our state and country leaders have been pleading with us to continue to take it seriously even though we are starting to reopen important to note in San Francisco we enter the next phase next monday. But its also important to note that if you cant keep 30 feet of distance you wear that mask. Im here live on fillmore street, im seeing a lot of people wearing their seems like people are taking it seriously and continuing to do what they can to save lives. And a 500 fine for the 3rd kind suggest that Community Service officers could force the fines rather than Police Officers. In a statement he wrote quote, im seeing too many people ignore the Simple Practice which is frankly putting the entire community at risk to this deadly disease. More than 5500 californians have died from this disease in just 3 months. If we want to truly save lives and we must all wear face coverings in quote.
