Able to reopen making that decision not to reopen for inclass instruction on june 1st now the businesses out here must comply with state requirements making sure things are disinfected they have those face coverings in place also making sure physical distance scene is required inside of the restaurant. Now they also must display some sort of sign at their business with these changes so that when customers are coming into the restaurants they can see these. Now the county is still waiting for guidance from the state has to whether or not they can open a summer school. Now as far as bars wineries and tasting rooms here in e area. Those are going to be close and those are not going to reopen until stage 3 so again theyre starting to open certain things around the county out here in napa but in terms of schools of parents are wondering whether or not those are going to be open. Theyre saying no robin. All right, thank you rain and well check back with you throughout the morning. Now its time to get a check of your forecast with dave spahr i know we have a Holiday Weekend approaching a lot of folks will be maybe hanging out outside of the backyard for nice little barbecue and such at a check in with days far and see whats in store dave. Thats right and the deathly want to do some ice on pick up too because she would need a lot of ice court on 2 its going to really warm up this weekend and early into next week today just mild is what were looking at taking care of some last minute business here some morning fog we can see some delays around the Golden Gate Bridge. Just a touch so on that note how does the fog do this morning and some of those coastal clouds. Well they do mix out pretty quickly here by the 8 oclock hour 9 oclock hour, the only problem areas a little bit along the peninsula coast. It looks like down in the Santa Cruz Mountains of touch and maybe some of the valleys off to the east bay a little bit there. So for numbers for us were in the mid 50s for most most part the space some upper 40s up there in the north bay its a last minute calling going on 57 san jose and 53 going on for San Francisco. Last hour in this hour is well were still a little bit ahead of what we were yesterday a couple problem areas if you will but a couple degrees ahead of this time from yesterday seared a is expected to kind of shape up like this taken care again the Morning Cloud cover start at 09 00am at 57. Then by high noon mostly sunny across most of the district at 66. Temperatures warming for the inland valleys into the 70s, however long range things are really changing really idea what we expect over the next few days, however coming up in just a bit robin back to you. The people of San Francisco have been absolutely incredible and because the majority of them are complying were able to take things a step further. The San Francisco is reopening step by step but that health top county Health Official says it could be weeks until the city enters the next phase. San Francisco Health director doctor grant colfax as the countys reopening plans aligns with the states plan to reopen the economy right now San Francisco is in face this allows lowerrisk workplaces to reopen and Retail Businesses to operate with Curbside Pickup doctor colfax says that San Francisco still about 2 to 3 weeks away from being ready to interface to be that would allow more relax restrictions, including adapting and reopening restaurant retail and schools. Well as the coronavirus cripple San Franciscos bars and entertainment community, some Business Owners are being forced to find some creative ways to reopen. Once theyre given the green light. Lynn schwartz is part owner of the San Francisco rock venue and other nightlife operators are asking the city for some flexibility, 2 spaces like parks and parking lots to hold outdoor a shows events and gatherings. Even 25 or 50 capacity when were allowed to reopen doesnt necessarily pay the bills so how about allowing us to take over some city spaces such as i live in visitation valley very close to become clear and park if we dont have space we will not survive and were going to go bankrupt and theres going to be lives lost and jobs. Thousands 10s of thousands of jobs lost there are going to recover and it doesnt have to happen that way if we can if we can find more space. Well the citys Entertainment Commission ads of the new entertainment scene will probably involved fewer big name acts and more focus on local bands and entertainers. Now to the south bay this morning, San Jose CityCouncil Voted overnight to allow local businesses who use Parking Spaces and streets to operate kron 4 Sarah Stinson live now in san jose she has the latest on this. Hi sarah good morning. Marty good morning. Well, Restaurant Owners have been in favor of this new plan put out by city leaders and its all to create more space for their restaurants and businesses if you see this in little a little italy part of this the san jose you can see theres a full little area of parking and they could use areas like this to allow restaurants and businesses to get their customers to social distance while theyre serving them. This is a great step and its called al fresco san jose and will allow restaurants to expand service while appropriate. On to sidewalks alleys other outdoor areas. This is an effort to help restaurants comply with the social distancing in other guidelines, the city and state has put in place this will restrict traffic in some areas and sacrifice of Street Parking but i think the payoff is definitely worthwhile for Business Owners restaurant will have to apply to get approved and certain permit fees are waived for Small Businesses already facing some significant financial struggles during this pandemic its not going to be easy as this is new territory. There are some challenges for restaurants specifically including serving alcohol outdoors we spoke to the owner of henrys world famous high life where im live right now whos in favor of this plan and how it might help the Service Industry during this difficult time. The thing is a middle road there where we can open up the area for everyone to get out, but also allow restaurants and businesses even like us a lot or something to move into the open air for business, you know anything right now is to help and the more we can g. Going back to north towards normal business is better. Definitely al fresco will also help other businesses as he said like nail salons other outdoor spaces will be provided Companies Like gyms yoga studios retail stores, this will really apply to a lot of the Small Businesses that are hurting right now city leaders will help guide businesses on how space customers out an assist with Getting Space for them to do so so this is new territory. This is going to be us a learning experience for all, but it looks like san joses really stepping up and creating a plan so that restaurants and Small Businesses can get back on their feet and get serving people hopefully we can get our economy back on the right track. For now live in san jose Sarah Stinson back to you marty all right sir, thanks a lot that does seem like a big step that Sarah Stinson reporting live for us in san jose robin. Im marty good morning, everybody sparkling like that ok to use that to get so wordsmith over there weve got a pretty nice forecast as we head on to our weekend of things will be toastie a very much so again the live shot from u c berkeley to some Unfinished Business about taking care of some of that fog its going to meander a little bit around the coast up bit later on this morning. But for most of the district should clear out by the mid Morning Hours will call it there you can see some scattered clouds off to the distance here from the golden gate picture and again some of the delays of the low lying fog that were dealing with speaking of which heres how it mixes out if you will just a bit as we its going to get a little bit more intense over the next hour. But then mixing up by 1030 the only problem area being in the Santa Cruz Mountains where potentially were actually seeing a couple of stray showers up there too as a possibility. Bay Area Temperatures for now mid 50s for most the east bay got to the upper 40s up in the north bay there 53 San Francisco, 57 to san jose that for comparison sake there you get an idea well where we stand there with a variety of just a couple degrees head of what we were yesterday want to keep building on that by the way all the way through the Holiday Weekend. Future cast for again the Unfinished Business about a few of those sprinkles off of the Santa Cruz Mountains also up to the sierra into later on this afternoon. But after that for the most part, its mostly sunny and smooth sailing Going Forward maybe a little bit of a breeze as we see the High Pressure and but leftover low kind of battle it out a little bit early on in the forecast time period. So heres what we got going on here mostly sunny and mild will call it 70s for the bay and inland rest of the week, some of those 80 start poking out there for thursday into friday, 70 still along the bay and for the weekend warming more 80s for the bay now and 90 start to pop in what and they continue onward to early next week here probably hitting us enough for the bay area on tuesday.
