( james ) our top story this morning... a man is in critical condition after a shooting near an amtrak station in the east bay. it happened just before 9:15 last night in emeryville. a man was shot on 59th street near horton street. police have not yet released his name. they say the gunman ran off and is still on the loose. police do not have a description of the shooter. ( james ) for the second time in a month... 49ers linebacker reuben foster has been arrested. this time it was in los gatos on domestic violence charges... possessing an assault weapon... and making threats. the 2017 first round draft pick posted bail yesterday afternoon. it is still not clear what lead to this arrest. he was also arrested back on january 12th on marijuana charges in alabama. the 49ers released a statement saying they are aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. ( james ) a classic car catches fire after it is hit by a train in atherton. it happened saturday night... at the railroad crossing at fairoaks lane. firefighters rushed to put out the fire. one that was burning a 1950's austin healey. investigators say the car stalled and the driver got out before it was hit by the train. 300 people were on the train at the time. no one was injured. ( james ) some people in vallejo woke up to brown water coming out of their faucets on sunday. and it was all because of a mishap at the city reservoir. kron 4's ali reid has the details. about a thousand families in south vallejo have been dealing with brown water coming out their toilets and faucets ... which have caused quite a stir. yea, we're not gonna drink it ... until we know for sure what's happening there was a hiccup at the swanzy reservoir, which caused sediment to get into the water lines and pushed into a part of the system. although discolored with a little debris floating around, the city urged residents that it was safe to drink. although it is advised the limit usage. ahhhh no no no. it's not okthe reservoir's sensor gave a false read, sucking sediment from the bottom and into the system. crews worked on it for the better part of sunday. and although the water started looking a bit clearer, neighbors within this border along lemon street to highway 780, to laurel, pueblo way, and porter street ... are still skeptical.i'm gonna be cautious. i'm gonna wait about 6-7 hours at least, and make sure we have an all clear sign or signal hahahahaas a precaution they still won't drink it..we drink bottle water the reservoir is one of the oldest in the city dating back to the early 1900's. for those still seeing discolored water, the city suggests turning on the faucet for 5-10 minutes until it clears up. reporting from the glen cove neighborhood in south vallejo ... ali reid .... kron 4 news. ( james ) in the east bay... the coast guard rescued dozens of people after a water taxi ran aground.. it happened near the berkeley marina. the coast guard tells us the boat got stuck on a reef. they rescued all 43 people on board. this happened saturday afternoon. crews used two small rescue boats... to take the passengers back to the berkeley marina. nobody was injured. year. atkinson has been with the fire department since 1996. he remains on active duty in the army national guard. ( james ) in san francisco... winds this weekend caused a fence to come crashing down on people. one of the victims is in critical condition this morning. it all happened at 23rd street and san jose in the mission. kron 4's hermela aregawi has the latest. it was a dangerously windy afternoon in san francsico.. where a man and a woman are being treated at a local hospital after a ghust caused this fencing to come flying down.the woman complained of lower back pain.. while the elderly man suffered trauma to the head denise lew/witnessi saw a man and a woman i believe on the floor. they seem to be talking but struggling and in pain and the man had blood on his chest. and people were around them trying to help them out. it looked like he was injured and in pain but he could talk and communicate to the people who were trying to help him sarah sitts/neighborit was a bit scary to hear that a place you go to very often during the week whether running by or parking was a site of this terrible event. neighbors we talked to say the construction has been going on for nearly two years and has frustrated residents by cluttering the streets with materials and taking up parking. sarah sitts/neighborthe fence has been up for quite a while yeah they've almost become a permanent fixture in the neighborhood. i've lived here for a year and i've gotten pretty used to them. ( james ) a letter threatening violence to homeless people in the mission is causing fear to regulars to the area. the letter begins with the heading... attention junkie expletives.. and is signed "the neighbors." it threatens to beat up anyone who is within 100 yards of the so-ma west skatepark after dark. the park is popular for skating most of the day and into the night. we spoke to people who hang out in the area... they said no one who visits the park is a threat to the neighbors. ( james ) a man living in the area said he saw the person posting the flyers... and was pepper sprayed when he confronted him. the homeless coalition said they were able to get a license plate number for that man...and contacted s-f-p-d. ( james ) in the south bay... san jose police are warning everyone about child porn being shared on facebook messenger. police have received multiple reports about a video. and want to remind everyone that sharing a sexually explicit video involving a child is a crime... even if you're trying to help catch the people responsible. police are asking those who come across the video to report it before deleting it. ( james ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she is michelle duarte of morgan hill it happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking away from the address on the packages. officers returned the items and booked duarte into santa clara county jail. ( james ) a car crash in vallejo ... has turned into a murder investigation. police responded to the crash near tuolumme street and hospital drive. they found the body of a man in the drivers seat. based on his injuries police believe the man was murdered. the name of the victim has not been released. ( james ) in santa rosa... former renters at the journey's end mobile home park are worried that the owner... will sell the property. much of it was destroyed during the north bay firestorm. neighbors have had to find temporary housing while they search for permanent solutions. we reached out to co-owner of the property -- who said they're not neccessarily looking to sell the property. he told us they're partnering with burbank housing to replace 160 units that are in poor shape with affordable housing. ( james ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. live look outside... at the embarcadero. there is a lot of trash washing up on the shores in marin county. kron 4's stanley roberts takes a look in this edition of people behaving badly. there are treasures to be to be found on along the richardson bay shore line in marin county and these are venetian blinds you know what you do with those you ever seen when they puts slats inside chain link fences so when i said treasures, i was being facetious what you can find are thing that shouldn't be on the shoreline this is a photo of syringes that were found under highway 101 by a retiree who spends a lot of time on the shoreline getting exercise and cleaning the beach he declined to show his face on camera but he agreed to take me on tour he told me how this area is being trashed and when i say trashed i mean whole bags of trash like the one in this photo he snapped but he goes further there is a whole contingent of people that live on their boats who as you would say they behave badly, by throwing their garbage and worse of all their sewage and needles into the bay but from this vantage point you don't really see many boats which could be cause the problem so i placed a call to the marin county sheriff's office and the flood gates opened .this video was sent to me it shows a sailboat being dragged ashore and then it shows this a bucket filled with capped and uncapped syringes that almost ended up in richardson bay ááááso apparently there is some truth to the notion that debris from boats is washing ashore the sailboat was deemed not seaworthy and was at risk of sinking.. so under a relatively new harbor and navigation code it gets removed just like this boat, the problem is when these boats sink all the debris inside the boats end up washing up on the beach including something worse this bucket was used as a toilet... it has a rope attached so it can be tossed into the water and everything in it which washes up on the shoreline pretty much i walk the shoreline every day on a regular basis i find 5 gallon painters buckets full of human defecation bit 55 gallon bags full of human defecation but is this part of a bigger issue that is something we will look at in a future addition of people behaving badly in marin county stanley roberts kron 4 news ( james ) coming up on the kron four morning news... how a u-c berkeley student who was released after being detained by ice... is now helping other detainees. ( james ) ( james ) ( james ) a u-c berkeley student is out of jail ... after he was detained by ice for nearly three weeks. an online campaign helped raise money for his bail. luis mora used the extra cash... to bail out others in the same jail. kron 4's ella sogomonian had a chance to meet with mora's attorney. undocumented cal student luis mora was arrested at a border patrol checkpoint in san diego county back in december.he was released after spending three weeks held at otay mesa detention center.his attorney said that was unusual for someone without a criminal history.an online campaign raised 15 thousand dollars for bail.his bond only cost 1500. so he helped free three other detainees with the rest of the money.sot: prerna lal, immigration attorney// "we worked with an attorney down in san deigo who had assisted briefly with luis's case to identify clients she had who she had won bond for but who had not been able to pay bond for their release. some had been detained for a year others for almost two years." their last names were released for privacy concerns but his attorney says they were a man named juan from mexico, a grandmother name virginie from haiti, and another man named frankling from honduras.... all of which are strangers to mora.sot: prerna lal, immigration attorney// "people were just overwhelmed and in tears and so joyful and showed so much gratitude in terms of luis paying their bond. someone they have never met." ( james ) three people are in jail for selling drugs in novato. police received reports earlier this month about drug activity at a house on kenwood court. police got a search warrant... and recently stopped a man leaving the house. they say he was in possession of meth. they also found others in and around the house... including a 10-year-old child. police say a large amount of meth and other drugs were found in the house. ( james ) in world news... all 71 people aboard a saratov airlines flight died when their plane crashed outside of moscow. right now... emergency teams are searching fields for debris and the remains of the victims. they've already found the plane's data recorder. the flight disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff from a moscow airport and crashed soon afterward. investigators don't why the plane went down... but they have ruled out terrorism. ( james ) in national news... three people are dead... and four others hurt after a tour helicopter crashes in the grand canyon. police say the chopper was carrying a pilot and six passengers. the passengers were visiting from britian. authorities have not released the names or ages of the victims. rescue efforts were slowed by rugged terrain and poor conditions. the f-a-a and the n-t-s-b will investigate. ( james ) starting today... the company that makes oxycontin will stop promoting it to physicians. purdue pharma is also cutting its sales force in half. purdue and other drugmakers are facing a number of lawsuits. oxycontin is a highly addictive opioid. some lawsuits accuse purdue of downplaying its risks... while overstating its benefits as a painkiller. the c-d-c says that opioids were involved in more than 42-thousands deaths in the u-s in 20-16. purdue denies wrongdoing. ( darya ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she's michelle duarte. the theft happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking áaway from the address on the packages. officers returned the items and booked duarte into santa clara county ( darya ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. ( james ) vacaville police arrest a kid after five kids were found in a stolen car. the kids were all between 12 and 16 years old. police also found marijuana. a person in the area of gable street and rocky hill road called police to report what they thought was drug activity. they gave police a description of the kids and the car. officers confirmed it was stolen. one of the kids was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car and possession of stolen property. ( darya ) in modesto... police have arrested who they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a 5-year old boy. robert davis was taken into custody late friday night at a motel for killing xavier smith. the shooting happened back in october... when smith was at home playing in his garage. police also suspect davis of killing another person... cody lea. lea was shot and killed at a park in november. police say davis didn't act alone in either shooting. two other people were arrested for those crimes as well. ( darya ) these three arrest come less than a week after modesto police released this video of the car they believe was involved in the shooting of 5- year-old xavier. (james) marin county police arrested a man in connection to a stabbing. it happened on saturday morning ... in marin county. when deputies arrived at the scene ... they found a victim who had been stabbed in the chest. police were able to find the man in connection to the stabbing ... because of jail records. they went to his job in novato to arrest him .. but couldn't find him when they arrived. after 30 minutes ... they found him hiding in a crawl space . the man was booked into marin county jail of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. ( james ) some people in vallejo woke up to brown water coming out of their faucets on sunday.( darya ) and it was all because of a mishap at the city reservoir. kron 4's ali reid has the details. about a thousand families in south vallejo have been dealing with brown water coming out their toilets and faucets ... which have caused quite a stir. yea, we're not gonna drink it ... until we know for sure what's happening there was a hiccup at the swanzy reservoir, which caused sediment to get into the water lines and pushed into a part of the system. although discolored with a little debris floating around, the city urged residents that it was safe to drink. although it is advised the limit usage. ahhhh no no no. it's not okthe reservoir's sensor gave a false read, sucking sediment from the bottom and into the system. crews worked on it for the better part of sunday. and although the water started looking a bit clearer, neighbors within this border along lemon street to highway 780, to laurel, pueblo way, and porter street ... are still skeptical.i'm gonna be cautious. i'm gonna wait about 6-7 hours at least, and make sure we have an all clear sign or signal hahahahaas a precaution they still won't drink it..we drink bottle water the reservoir is one of the oldest in the city dating back to the early 1900's. for those still seeing discolored water, the city suggests turning on the faucet for 5-10 minutes until it clears up. reporting from the glen cove neighborhood in south vallejo ... ali reid .... kron 4 news. ( darya ) a captain with the livermore-pleasanton fire department is awarded the bronze star for his work with the u-s army special forces. captain ken atkinson received the medal for his service during a combat mission in afghanistan last year. atkinson has been with the fire department since 1996. he remains on active duty in the army national guard. ( darya ) in the east bay... the coast guard rescued dozens of people after a water taxi ran aground.. it happened near the berkeley marina. the coast guard tells us the boat got stuck on a reef. they rescued all 43 people on board. this happened saturday afternoon. crews used two small rescue boats... to take the passengers back to the berkeley marina. no one was hurt. permit and approval process down to "no more than two years." ( james ) in world news... all 71 people aboard a russian flight died when their plane crashed outside of moscow. right now... emergency teams are searching fields for debris and remains. they've already found the plane's data recorder. the flight disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff and crashed soon afterward. investigators don't why the plane went down... but they have ruled out terrorism. ( darya ) in the south bay... san jose police are warning everyone about child porn being shared on facebook messenger. police have received multiple reports about a video. they want to remind everyone that sharing a sexually explicit video involving a child is a crime... even if you're trying to help catch the people responsible. police are asking those who come across the video to report it before deleting it. ( darya ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she's michelle duarte. the theft happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking áaway from the address on the packages. officers returned the booked duarte clara county jail. ( darya ) a u-c berkeley student is out of jail ... after he was detained by ice for nearly three weeks. luis mora was arrested at a border patrol checkpoint in san diego county back in december. he was released after spending three weeks held at otay mesa detention center. mora's attorney says it's unusual for someone without a criminal history. an online campaign raised 15 thousand dollars for bail. but his bond only cost 1500. so he helped free three other detainees who he has never met ...with the rest of the money. and showed so much gratitude in terms of luis paying their bond. someone they have never met.">(darya) lal says ... that mora plans to pay bond for one more person ... and he plans on sending the money this week. ( darya ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. ( james ) three people are in jail for selling drugs in novato. police received reports earlier this month about drug activity at a house on kenwood court. police then got a search warrant...and stopped a man leaving the house. authorities say he was in possession of meth. they also found others in and around the house... including a 10-year-old child. police say a large amount of meth and other drugs were found in the house. ( james ) some people in vallejo woke up to brown water coming out of their faucets on sunday. and it was all because of a mishap at the city reservoir. kron 4's ali reid has the details. about a thousand families in south vallejo have been dealing with brown water coming out their toilets and faucets ... which have caused quite a stir. yea, we're not gonna drink it ... until we know for sure what's happening there was a hiccup at the swanzy reservoir, which caused sediment to get into the water lines and pushed into a part of the system. although discolored with a little debris floating around, the city urged residents that it was safe to drink. although it is advised the limit usage. ahhhh no no no. it's not okthe reservoir's sensor gave a false read, sucking sediment from the bottom and into the system. crews worked on it for the better part of sunday. and although the water started looking a bit clearer, neighbors within this border along lemon street to highway 780, to laurel, pueblo way, and porter street ... are still skeptical.i'm gonna be cautious. i'm gonna wait about 6-7 hours at least, and make sure we have an all clear sign or signal hahahahaas a precaution they still won't drink it..we drink bottle water the reservoir is one of the oldest in the city dating back to the early 1900's. for those still seeing discolored water, the city suggests turning on the faucet for 5-10 minutes until it clears up. reporting from the glen cove neighborhood in south vallejo ... ali reid .... kron 4 news. ( james ) a letter threatening violence to homeless people in the mission is causing fear to regulars to the area. the letter begins with the heading... attention junkie expletives.. and is signed "the neighbors." it threatens to beat up anyone who is within 100 yards of the so-ma west skatepark after dark. the park is popular for skating most of the day and into the night. we spoke to people who hang out in the area... they said no one who visits the park is a threat to the neighbors. ( james ) a man living in the area said he saw the person posting the flyers... and was pepper sprayed when he confronted him. the homeless coalition said they were able to get a license plate number for that man...and contacted s-f-p-d. ( james ) in the south bay... san jose police are warning everyone about child porn being shared on facebook messenger. police have received multiple reports about a video. and want to remind everyone that sharing a sexually explicit video involving a child is a crime... even if you're trying to help catch the people responsible. police are asking those who come across the video to report it before deleting it. ( james ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she is michelle duarte of morgan hill it happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking away from the address on the packages. officers returned the items and booked duarte into santa clara county jail. ( james ) a car crash in vallejo ... has turned into a murder investigation. police responded to the crash near tuolumme street and hospital drive. they found the body of a man in the drivers seat. based on his injuries police believe the man was murdered. the name of the victim has not been released. ( james ) in santa rosa... former renters at the journey's end mobile home park are worried that the owner... will sell the property. much of it was destroyed during the north bay firestorm. neighbors have had to find temporary housing while they search for permanent solutions. we reached out to co-owner of the property -- who said they're not neccessarily looking to sell the property. he told us they're partnering with burbank housing to replace 160 units that are in poor shape with affordable housing. ( james ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. live look outside... at the embarcadero. there is a lot of trash washing up on the shores in marin county. kron 4's stanley roberts takes a look in this edition of people behaving badly. there are treasures to be to be found on along the richardson bay shore line in marin county and these are venetian blinds you know what you do with those you ever seen when they puts slats inside chain link fences so when i said treasures, i was being facetious what you can find are thing that shouldn't be on the shoreline this is a photo of syringes that were found under highway 101 by a retiree who spends a lot of time on the shoreline getting exercise and cleaning the beach he declined to show his face on camera but he agreed to take me on tour he told me how this area is being trashed and when i say trashed i mean whole bags of trash like the one in this photo he snapped but he goes further there is a whole contingent of people that live on their boats who as you would say they behave badly, by throwing their garbage and worse of all their sewage and needles into the bay but from this vantage point you don't really see many boats which could be cause the problem so i placed a call to the marin county sheriff's office and the flood gates opened .this video was sent to me it shows a sailboat being dragged ashore and then it shows this a bucket filled with capped and uncapped syringes that almost ended up in richardson bay ááááso apparently there is some truth to the notion that debris from boats is washing ashore the sailboat was deemed not seaworthy and was at risk of sinking.. so under a relatively new harbor and navigation code it gets removed just like this boat, the problem is when these boats sink all the debris inside the boats end up washing up on the beach including something worse this bucket was used as a toilet... it has a rope attached so it can be tossed into the water and everything in it which washes up on the shoreline pretty much i walk the shoreline every day on a regular basis i find 5 gallon painters buckets full of human defecation bit 55 gallon bags full of human defecation but is this part of a bigger issue that is something we will look at in a future addition of people behaving badly in marin county stanley roberts kron 4 news ( james ) coming up on the kron four morning news... how a u-c berkeley student who was released after being detained by ice... is now helping other detainees. ( darya ) in modesto... police have arrested who they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a 5-year old boy. robert davis was taken into custody late friday night at a motel for killing xavier smith. the shooting happened back in october... when smith was at home playing in his garage. police also suspect davis of killing another person... cody lea. lea was shot and killed at a park in november. police say davis didn't act alone in either shooting. two other people were arrested for those crimes as well. ( darya ) these three arrest come less than a week after modesto police released this video of the car they believe was involved in the shooting of 5-year-old xavier. ( james ) some people in vallejo woke up to brown water coming out of their faucets on sunday.( darya ) and it was all because of a mishap at the city reservoir. kron 4's ali reid has the details. about a thousand families in south vallejo have been dealing with brown water coming out their toilets and faucets ... which have caused quite a stir. yea, we're not gonna drink it ... until we know for sure what's happening there was a hiccup at the swanzy reservoir, which caused sediment to get into the water lines and pushed into a part of the system. although discolored with a little debris floating around, the city urged residents that it was safe to drink. although it is advised the limit usage. ahhhh no no no. it's not okthe reservoir's sensor gave a false read, sucking sediment from the bottom and into the system. crews worked on it for the better part of sunday. and although the water started looking a bit clearer, neighbors within this border along lemon street to highway 780, to laurel, pueblo way, and porter street ... are still skeptical.i'm gonna be cautious. i'm gonna wait about 6-7 hours at least, and make sure we have an all clear sign or signal hahahahaas a precaution they still won't drink it..we drink bottle water the reservoir is one of the oldest in the city dating back to the early 1900's. for those still seeing discolored water, the city suggests turning on the faucet for 5-10 minutes until it clears up. reporting from the glen cove neighborhood in south vallejo ... ali reid .... kron 4 news. ( darya ) a captain with the liverore-pleasanton fire department is awarded the bronze star for his work with the u-s army special forces. captain ken atkinson received the medal for his service during a combat mission in afghanistan last year. atkinson has been with the fire department since 1996. he remains on active duty in the army national guard. ( james ) happening today... president trump is expected to unveil his long- awaited infrastructure plan. the president laid out his one-point-five trillion dollar proposal at his first state of the union address earlier this month. white house aides say 200-billion dollars of that money will come from federal spending. the rest is supposed to come from state and local governments. president trump says he wants to get the infrastructure permit and approval process down to "no more than two years." ( james ) in world news... all 71 people aboard a saratov airlines flight died when their plane crashed outside of moscow. right now... emergency teams are searching fields for debris and the remains of the victims. they've already found the plane's data recorder. the flight disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff from a moscow airport and crashed soon afterward. investigators don't why the plane went down... but they have ruled out terrorism. ( darya ) in the south bay... san jose police are warning everyone about child porn being shared on facebook messenger. police have received multiple reports about a video. they want to remind everyone that sharing a sexually explicit video involving a child is a crime... even if you're trying to help catch the people responsible. police are asking those who come across the video to report it before deleting it. ( darya ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she's michelle duarte. the theft happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking áaway from the address on the packages. officers returned the items and booked duarte into santa clara county ( darya ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. ( james ) three people are in jail for selling drugs in novato. police received reports earlier this month about drug activity at a house on kenwood court. police then got a search warrant...and stopped a man leaving the house. authorities say he was in possession of meth. they also found others in and around the house... including a 10-year-old child. police say a large amount of meth and other drugs were found in the house. ( james ) in santa rosa... former renters at the journey's end mobile home park are worried that the owner... will sell the property. much of it was destroyed during the north bay firestorm. neighbors have had to find temporary housing while they search for permanent solutions. we reached out to co-owner of the property -- who said they're not neccessarily looking to sell the property. he told us they're partnering with burbank housing to replace 160 units that are in poor shape with affordable housing. ( james ) california is launching an investigation into insurance giant aetna. this comes as a former aetna director admitted under oath ...that he never looked at patients' records before denying or approving care. his testimony was part of a lawsuit filed by a young man who claims he was denied treatment. in a deposition... the doctor said he relied on information from nurses... who did read the records... and that he followed aetna's policies appropriately. ( james ) starting today... the company that makes oxycontin will stop promoting it to physicians. purdue pharma is also cutting its sales force in half. purdue and other drugmakers are facing a number of lawsuits. oxycontin is a highly addictive opioid. some lawsuits accuse purdue of downplaying its risks... while overstating its benefits as a painkiller. the c-d-c says that opioids were involved in more than 42-thousands deaths in the u-s in 20-16. purdue denies wrongdoing. ( james ) oakland police tried to stop a thief from stealing a truck ... but instead the man led officers on a nearly thirty mile chase into antioch. sunday afternoon the man drive the stolen escalade to antioch and parked it in a driveway. police said he refused to get out of the truck... so they fired a substance called 'c-s' ...similar to tear gas... that shattered the escalade's windows. neighbors in the area said they were unaware that the man was part of a crime... < "i didn't know he was part of a pursuit because he didn't come off like he was running with anyone. because he locked eyes with me.">( james ) with the help of a police dog... the thief was finally taken into custody. police have not released his name at this time. ( james ) three people who broke into cars in cupertino... led police on a high-speed chase all the way to san francisco... have been arrested. police say the group was speeding down highway 1-0-1 and then on san francisco streets... and even raced through dolores park. the chase eventually ended at webster and grove. police say one of the three is a minor. ( darya ) new this morning... a man is in critical condition after a shooting near an amtrak station in the east bay. it happened just before 9:15 last night in emeryville. a man was shot on 59th street near horton street. police have not yet released his name. they say the gunman ran off and is still on the loose. police do not have a description of the shooter. ( darya ) police arrest a suspected drug dealer in san francisco. the latest arrest happened saturday afternoon on eighth and market streets... in the tenderloin. police say they've arrested "nabor sara- bria-arellano" three times since last august. officers confiscated a knife... more than 200 bags of cocaine... more than 100 bags of heroin...11 bags of meth... and a walkie-talkie during the arrest. ( darya ) san francisco police are searching for a robbery suspect... who they had in custody... but then released. police say dante oliver... was arrested wednesday night for injuring an officer on market street... while armed with a semi- automatic handgun. he was released. now he's wanted for a robbery that happened in the city's taraval district. police have not released that robbery. ( james ) in the east bay... police are investigating a possible murder suicide. gunshots were heard yesterday morning on keith avenue in oakland. officers responded to the scene and heard more gunshots when they got there. a man in his 60's and a woman in her 70's died at the scene. the incident is still being investigated. ( james ) in the south bay... police arrest a san jose man for stealing a car. he was also wanted for a felony warrant. police patrolling the union landing shopping center in union city... saw a u-haul van... parked across a handicapped spot...with no handicap placard. a woman and a infant were in the front seat. officers determined the van was stolen. police arrested jerry matthews. he is being charged with possessing a stolen vehicle... he was also arrested for the felony warrant. ( darya ) for the second time in a month... 49ers linebacker reuben foster has been arrested. this time it was in los gatos on domestic violence charges... possessing an assault weapon... and making threats. the 2017 first round draft pick posted bail yesterday afternoon. it is still not clear what lead to this arrest. he was also arrested back on january 12th on marijuana charges in alabama. the 49ers released a statement saying they are aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. ( james ) vacaville police arrest a kid after five kids were found in a stolen car. the kids were all between 12 and 16 years old. police also found marijuana. a person in the area of gable street and rocky hill road called police to report what they thought was drug activity. they gave police a description of the kids and the car. officers confirmed it was stolen. one of the kids was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car and possession of stolen property. ( darya ) in modesto... police have arrested who they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a 5-year old boy. robert davis was taken into custody late friday night at a motel for killing xavier smith. the shooting happened back in october... when smith was at home playing in his garage. police also suspect davis of killing another person... cody lea. lea was shot and killed at a park in november. police say davis didn't act alone in either shooting. two other people were arrested for those crimes as well. ( darya ) these three arrest come less than a week after modesto police released this video of the car they believe was involved in the shooting of 5- year-old xavier. (james) marin county police arrested a man in connection to a stabbing. it happened on saturday morning ... in marin county. when deputies arrived at the scene ... they found a victim who had been stabbed in the chest. police were able to find the man in connection to the stabbing ... because of jail records. they went to his job in novato to arrest him .. but couldn't find him when they arrived. after 30 minutes ... they found him hiding in a crawl space . the man was booked into marin county jail of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. ( james ) some people in vallejo woke up to brown water coming out of their faucets on sunday.( darya ) and it was all because of a mishap at the city reservoir. kron 4's ali reid has the details. about a thousand families in south vallejo have been dealing with brown water coming out their toilets and faucets ... which have caused quite a stir. yea, we're not gonna drink it ... until we know for sure what's happening there was a hiccup at the swanzy reservoir, which caused sediment to get into the water lines and pushed into a part of the system. although discolored with a little debris floating around, the city urged residents that it was safe to drink. although it is advised the limit usage. ahhhh no no no. it's not okthe reservoir's sensor gave a false read, sucking sediment from the bottom and into the system. crews worked on it for the better part of sunday. and although the water started looking a bit clearer, neighbors within this border along lemon street to highway 780, to laurel, pueblo way, and porter street ... are still skeptical.i'm gonna be cautious. i'm gonna wait about 6-7 hours at least, and make sure we have an all clear sign or signal hahahahaas a precaution they still won't drink it..we drink bottle water the reservoir is one of the oldest in the city dating back to the early 1900's. for those still seeing discolored water, the city suggests turning on the faucet for 5-10 minutes until it clears up. reporting from the glen cove neighborhood in south vallejo ... ali reid .... kron 4 news. ( darya ) a captain with the livermore-pleasanton fire department is awarded the bronze star for his work with the u-s army special forces. captain ken atkinson received the medal for his service during a combat mission in afghanistan last year. atkinson has been with the fire department since 1996. he remains on active duty in the army national guard. ( darya ) in the east bay... the coast guard rescued dozens of people after a water taxi ran aground.. it happened near the berkeley marina. the coast guard tells us the boat got stuck on a reef. they rescued all 43 people on board. this happened saturday afternoon. crews used two small rescue boats... to take the passengers back to the berkeley marina. no one was hurt. permit and approval process down to "no more than two years." ( james ) in world news... all 71 people aboard a russian flight died when their plane crashed outside of moscow. right now... emergency teams are searching fields for debris and remains. they've already found the plane's data recorder. the flight disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff and crashed soon afterward. investigators don't why the plane went down... but they have ruled out terrorism. ( darya ) a big story this morning... three people are dead... and four others hurt after a tour helicopter crashes in the grand canyon. police say the chopper was carrying a pilot and six passengers. the passengers were visiting from britian. authorities have not released the names or ages of the victims. rescue efforts were slowed by rugged terrain and poor conditions. the f-a-a and the n-t-s-b will investigate. ( darya ) in the south bay... san jose police are warning everyone about child porn being shared on facebook messenger. police have received multiple reports about a video. they want to remind everyone that sharing a sexually explicit video involving a child is a crime... even if you're trying to help catch the people responsible. police are asking those who come across the video to report it before deleting it. ( darya ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. she's michelle duarte. the theft happened in the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue. the officer found a woman carrying two packages under her arm. she told police she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was walking áaway from the address on the packages. officers returned the booked duarte clara county jail. ( darya ) a u-c berkeley student is out of jail ... after he was detained by ice for nearly three weeks. luis mora was arrested at a border patrol checkpoint in san diego county back in december. he was released after spending three weeks held at otay mesa detention center. mora's attorney says it's unusual for someone without a criminal history. an online campaign raised 15 thousand dollars for bail. but his bond only cost 1500. so he helped free three other detainees who he has never met ...with the rest of the money. and showed so much gratitude in terms of luis paying their bond. someone they have never met.">(darya) lal says ... that mora plans to pay bond for one more person ... and he plans on sending the money this week. ( darya ) san francisco police are looking for a thief who robbed a taxi driver in the inner richmond neighborhood. this is surveillance video showing the robbery. the driver picked a man up last month outside a bar. the thief grabbed the driver's bag and there was a struggle as the driver tried to stop him. the man eventually broke free and got away with the driver's possessions. police do not have a detailed description of the attacker. ( james ) three people are in jail for selling drugs in novato. police received reports earlier this month about drug activity at a house on kenwood court. police then got a search warrant...and stopped a man leaving the house. authorities say he was in possession of meth. they also found others in and around the house... including a 10-year-old child. police say a large amount of meth and other drugs were found in the house. ( james ) in santa rosa... former renters at the journey's end mobile home park are worried that the owner... will sell the property. much of it was destroyed during the north bay firestorm. neighbors have had to find temporary housing while they search for permanent solutions. we reached out to co-owner of the property -- who said they're not neccessarily looking to sell the property. he told us they're partnering with burbank housing to replace 160 units that are in poor shape with affordable housing. ( darya ) california is launching an investigation into insurance giant aetna. this comes as a former aetna director admitted under oath ...that he never looked at patients' records before denying or approving care. his testimony was part of a lawsuit filed by a young man who claims he was denied treatment. in a deposition... the doctor said he relied on information from nurses... who did read the records... and that he followed aetna's policies appropriately.
