New details about the offduty Richmond Police officer who was arrested after a standoff. 45yearold Sergeant Philip sanchez was arrested and taken into custody after opening fire inside the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. The officers Attorney Says sanchez was suffering a mental breakdown. Police say about half a dozen gunshots rang out on the 17th floor. It took police over an hour to get sanchez to surrender. Sanchez faces multiple charges. And is on administrative leave. darya another big story we are following. A man who shot himself during a traffic stop in richmond was a San Francisco police officer. The San FranciscoPolice Department have not yet identified the officer but they say he was a 9year veteran of the force and he was the subject of an investigation involving multiple jurisdictions. The shooting happened yesterday afternoon at the hill top mall near the jc penney store. When officers approached the mans car they heard a gunshot. Officers could not see what happened because the windows were tinted. Police have not said why the officer was under investigation. darya a woman has been arrested and accused of fatally stabbing a man in fremont. It happened on sunday night on fremont boulevard. A witness says the stabbing followed what appeared to be a Domestic Violence dispute. They also saw the woman drive off in a silver mercedez benz. They were able to give police a partial description of the license plates. The 271 thousand acre fire burning in Santa Barbara and ventura counties is now 50 percent contained. The fire has burned an area larger than new york city and boston combined. Its also destroyed more than one thousand buildings at least 700 of them are homes. Crews say before its contained.
