Starts right now with Surveillance Video following a brutal stabbing at a gas station. Good evening. Neighbors say it is part of a troubling trend. The attack happened at a shell station at east hamilton. Off of highway 17. Kpix 5s len ramirez is there for us tonight. Reporter neighbors say the stabbing that took place early this morning is pattern of violence that is hitting this neighborhood. Surveillance video shows it stabbing incident at gas station at 1 20 a. M. In the morning. The victim can be seen getting jumped. Moments later suspects are seen getting into a vehicle and speeding away. The victim calls out to the gas station attendant for help. Moments later the victim is seen gathering paper towels from the windshield washing station to soak up his own blood as the attendant calls 911. Suspect stabbed the victim multiple times. The suspect had a couple other people in the car with him and they all fled the scene. The victim was treated for multiple stab wounds and is expected to survive. Police say it could be gang related. We are looking into that possibility for sure. Something our detectives are considering and based on the video. Reporter neighbors say it is a pattern they are seeing between West San Jose and campbell. How are we supposed to live in this area statement keeping our kids safe from the gangs . Reporter there have been two fatal shootings since the beginning of the year. Bull holes and graffiti are part of the landscape. It is recall unsafe. Scary. A police chase and crash and the driver only 14years old. The chp says officers tried to pull the driver over early this morning. A pursuit followed and then ended when the driver crashed into a tree west of 41 avenue. All six teenagers were taken to the hospital. Ages range from 14 to 18. Five of them are girls. Police say they attempted the traffic stop and the driver was arrested. Too close to home. I hope the families are okay. Know where your kids are at. If you think having laying your keys somewhere poses a threat because they will take it, please be more responsible and hide your keys. In Southern California two robbery suspects led police on a chase. It began in East Los Angeles and ended in bell gardens. The driver was seen barreling down the sidewalk and on the wrong side of the road. They finally ended up pulling in to an alley and ditching the vehicle. Look at this. That is something we havent seen in a while. On a rooftop right there. The woman ran and jumped from roof to roof. She eventually met up with her accomplice. Police took them into custody. Parents are speaking out against a second round of School Closures in mergers. And mergers. Kpix 5s andria borba is live with the story. Reporter the parents are giving the school board an ear full without how much they dont want their campus to close full about how much they dont want their campus to close. Parents and students dressed in green in the Oakland Hills are coming out to try stop the Oakland School district from moving their campus on 61 street. Strong and kids are successful in. Reporter they said it is about having too many schools and not enough students. Last year we had 11,000 empty seats. Reporter round two of school consolidations. Last year parents and students spoke out to stop their campus from getting rolled into another. Despite the protests the schools merged. Kaiser families are hoping to avoid the same fate. I really love the teachers. They were very, very nice. I dont think i dreaded going to school. The School District spokesperson says only the location is changing. The school is not the building. The school is the people, the administration, the teachers, the staff that support the students and the students and the families. So what we want to do is take that group of people at this school and put them on another location where they can grow much bigger. Reporter her brother is at kaiser and she wants him to graduate from there just like her. He is very annoying but i still love him and i want him to feel like that too. Flames ripping through the vegetation. It broke out this afternoon ourang highway 4 along highway 4. Three structures were damaged. It is unclear if they are homes or any were total losses. The cause is still unclear. Tonight investigators in fremont trying to figure out what took a driver so long to call police after hitting a bicyclist. He was struck and killed this morning. A witness told kiet do what he saw. Reporter turns out there is at least a 10 to 15 minute window to when the biker was hit to when the driver actually called 911. And so the question remains, what took him so long to call police. The windshield and dented hood gives an indication about the force of the impact and how fast the driver was going. Investigators say before sun rise the car hit the biker and kept on going. He was rear ended. At this point the information shows he road up on to the car and road on the car and then thrown off of it as the vehicle braked. He drove to where he works in the area and then came back and coworkers came back with him and they took the bike off of the car because it was stuck on the car. Reporter investigators say the collision was in this area. The victims body tumbled off the car here and the car parked here in the parking lot. The bike was pulled off and set down nearby. Which meant the driver went some distance in the dark with a bike in his smashed windshield and he was just arriving at work and saw the driver in the parking lot. He was outside of his car when i saw him and he was just he had his arms folded. I couldnt tell if anything was wrong. Reporter that was before 5 00 a. M. The driver called at 5 11 a. M. If the timing is true, the driver waited for at least 10 to 15 minutes before calling 911. What do you think he was doing . I dont know. Maybe grieving. I dont know. He was just sitting there. Reporter police say the driver has been cooperating and gave a blood sample. He hasnt been arrested oor cited just yet. Or cited just yet. Kiet do, kpix 5.
