Reporter Oakland Police are still on scene investigating an officerinvolved shooting that took place across from the west oakland bart station at seventh and chester in front of a barbershop. Witnesses tell us that two men were fighting. Possibly over a weapon. They say that a bart Police Officer heard the shots fired, responded, and then more shots were fired. We do know both individuals had gunshot wounds but we cannot confirm that this was from the discharge of the bart officers firearm. Im going to share with you the reason why. The reason why is because we recovered a firearm from the scene. Reporter Oakland Police do confirm that an on duty bart police use offer in uniform discharged his or her weapon. One man is confirmed dead, another was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police have not said when they will reopen this scene. Police tweeted this security cam video of a man wearing a santa hat opening fire on the occupants of a vehicle on eddy treat in the tender loin. Jonathan bloom got to learn more about the king tide inside the tiny building where that data is collected.
