And could be an option for those looking for parking around the embarcadero. Four robberies, two auto thefts and three assaults were reported in that area the last week. Were working to get answers after another shooting on an east bay freeway. It was breaking news at 8 00. Chp says the shots were fired on 580. But shortly after 4 00 they found an abandoned vehicle blocking lanes on the west side, two people arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds, expected to be okay. Another car in eastbound lanes was also hit by a bullet, no one in the car was hurt. No word on arrests or the suspects car. The major paving project on i80 is hurting more than drivers but works and businesses normally making money this weekend. But the project is smooth and on schedule. On this weekend because caltrans says the data shows the westbound traffic is lighter over the holiday. But the restaurant that overlooks the bridge in crockett, its supposed to be a big weekend. Since thursday, business is down 75 and hes expected big losses over the weekend. At least 100,000 over the weekend, yeah, maybe more so. Reporter caltrans says businesses that lose money directly from the work can apply for relief from the state. Thats within their right to do, file a claim. They would have to open their books. Once they open them to the state auditor they would go through the claim and assess it. Reporter the gm says the restaurant will likely apply for relief after assessing the final losses.
