A landlord is accused of trying to get a family off of his property by staging a home invasion. Officers arrived and arrested five people outside the home. Police say the suspects werent trying to steal, but to scare the family. Family tells us they are in a current rent dispute with the landlord, but they never expected something so extreme. A teacher art Richmond High School is in jail tonight accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 15 yearly student. Richmond Police Arrested the teacher on campus yesterday. Theyre not releasing that teachers name or gender. Investigators say the student told a School Resource officer about the relationship. The student said it started last spring and continued through last week. The teacher faces 15 counts of lewd acts on a child. The student said all of the alleged acts happened off campus. The student made the officer aware yesterday of the allegations. The School Resource officer followed up on those allegations and determined that an arrest needed to be made. The School District notified parents about the arrest this morning. Parents say they are angry and disappointed. Obviouslkay. It was like a game of bumper cars in the middle of the interstate. Chp officers chased her until she ran her car into a van and rammed into a squad car. That created a traffic jam that tied up 580 for hours. Thats exactly what happened here earlier today because it took about four hours for investigators to calm the westbound lanes for evidence and reopen the interstate just in time for the evening commute. Reporter Laura Mcfarland had to find another way to go to work after police shut down all westbound lanes of interstate 580 just off the west street san pablo exit. Reporter chp says an officer in the dublin area was told to be on the lookout for a woman in a silver chevroleti impala who was driving erratically. Chp says she took off and continued to head westbound. Chp says two officers from the Castro Valley area joined the chase, which finally ended here near the border of oakland and emeryville. Chp says the woman tried to ram her way between a wall and this east bay transit van, but ultimate got stuck. Thats when chp says the woman ran to the chp squad car and the van in a lastditch chance to get away. Chp says one of their officers fired their gun, but the bullet missed. Officers managed to arrest the woman who they say appeared to be under the influence of drugs. And that woman will likely face charges for reckless driving and evading police. And we just got word that there was actually a passenger on board that transit van, and surprisingly no one was injured. That person is okay as well as the driver. Thats the latest here in oakland. Charges will be dropped involving another alleged attack. Police arrested Austin Vincent after he was caught on video for trying to keep a woman going into the watermark condo in San Francisco. He attacked her and was arrested shortly after and arrested again when someone came forward after seeing vincents mugshot on tv. That person claimed vincent attacked a group of people with a knife along the embarcadero back in february. Those charges will now be dropped because it was proven that vincent was living in Southern California at the time of that alleged attack. Now, vincents attorney will also ask a judge to release him with an ankle monitor as he awaits trial for this condo attack. Weve had some clouds through the day today that if you looked up you thought, okay, this might produce some showers. So far we havent seen anything yet, but as we get a closer look through the bay area, theres a line of clouds through fairfield. Weve seen showers trying to begin. Nothing actually touching the ground. This could produce a little activity over towards sacramento as we head through the next 45 minutes to about an hour and a half. For us tomorrow i dont see any big rain chances. A little bit of humidity. Its all coming from remanent moisture what was once Tropical Storm ivo to the south. The next weather change is already starting to set in. Thats a cooler system out here in the pacific. I know a lot of you without air conditioning dealing with this heat are ready for a cool down.
