Kluska home run propels WVU to a doubleheader split with CMU

GRANVILLE, W.Va. — Former Greenbrier East Spartan Mikey Kluska hit a two-run walkoff homer in the bottom of the tenth inning to give WVU (5-5) an 8-7 win over Central Michigan (5-5) in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader.
Game 1 – Central Michigan 12, West Virginia 4
The Chippewas scored 5 runs in the fourth inning and 7 more in the seventh to secure the series victory.
CMU outhit WVU 16-8.
St. Albans grad and redshirt freshman Jake Carr opened his start with three scoreless innings. Yet he allowed eight consecutive two-out hits in the fourth inning. He fell to 0-2 on the season.
