you. >> the ministry in san how stay gave out 100 blankets to homeless encampments. the pastor says homeless people need more than tents and tarps but blankets. he says there are about 7,600 homeless people in santa clara county. >> what we are doing is literally on mission to save lives. we are frying to get the word out, raise awareness. also, literally by giving a blanket under the conditions. people, expire at night. last night stom one di. some one died in the homeless camp. frequently. they accept to give off to the homeless during the holidays and all year round. >> a squirrel blamed for a house fire in melon panlo park. the squirrel chewed through wires, at a power pole, and triggered a fire to start in the doorbell by front door at this home on san mateo. homeowners were away. nobody was hurt. the initial damage estimate is about $5,000. but it could go much higher because there could be significant damage to the electrical system. >> bart police are investigating a robbery at one station involving teens. a man says he had a cell phone stolen last night at el cerito del norte station. teens punched him. police detained several. but he couldn't identify. the victim was lingering, mid span, maybe, displaying, some, behavior that is, that is emotional. >> she is part of a group of volunteers called the bridge watch angels. their sole purpose, look for signs of depression and suicide. >> we look for signs. we look for common signs. someone pacing. some one inappropriately dressed for the weather. some one staring out into the distance. 1,000 foot stare. >> angels work in teams, wear orange arm bands and positive engagement. >> really listen. let them unload that despair. tell us what is going on what triggered them. >> they're on the bridge. they're helping others who, who, obviously have come to a point in their life they're going to a lot. >> since january of 2017, bridge watch angels and police conducted 235 suicide interventions. they're hopeful intervention along with suicide barriers, that are being built, will save lives. in san francisco, lonnie riviera, abc 7 news. >> 16-year-old girl is recovering tonight after being shot in san jose. police tell us the victim was found on the drive before 2:00 the girl had a gunshot wound and is expected to survive. there was also a crashed car at the scene. but it is not clear what role
