KFC lays off 35, cites ongoing curfew According to a statement from Restaurants Bahamas Limited, the curfews put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 have had a sustained negative effect on KFC’s business. FILE Restaurants Bahamas Limited has been forced to lay off 35 employees from its KFC Nassau franchise due to the continued interruption to its operating hours as a result of the government’s ongoing 10 p.m. curfew, the company revealed in a statement released on Friday. It added that it has been unsuccessful in lobbying the government to extend the curfew hours, given that the country’s COVID-19 numbers have decreased and continue to remain relatively low.
