Hooper Bay residents weigh in on the impact of fishing closures. 'It's like taking away food from our table'

On May 26, 2023 state fisheries managers announced they were closing the Yukon River to salmon fishing in early June. On May 31, state fisheries biologists and troopers flew to communities on the Y-K Delta to talk about the closures and about enforcement.
