ALGONA—An award named for long-time Algona Community School Foundation board member, David Shumway, was given to Brad Heitland for his exemplary career as a teacher.
Barb Teeter of the Algona Community School Foundation made the announcement at a teachers’ workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Following the presentation, Heitland shared his thoughts on successful teaching.
