Fremont artist goes gold, has more than 100 million Spotify streams

FREMONT - A Fremont artist has gone gold for writing songs for popular artist Blackbear.
Eric Conley, whose stage name is Snoozegod, received a Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified gold plaque for helping write songs such as "Missing the Old You," "STFU" and "Mansionz" for Blackbear’s 2017 album "Digital Druglord."
RIAA awards Gold Records for albums that sell at least 500,000 copies.
Conley met Blackbear, also known as Matthew Tyler Musto, while on tour with Travis Mills in 2012. Conley had been attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh but dropped out to go on tour with Mills.
Conley said that when he told his parents he was going on tour, they seemed unsure of the process but were supportive of his decision regardless.
