former president trump holding dueling rallies in georgia today ahead of the peach state primary on tuesday. biden touting a strong economy in his administration ice agenda following his state of the union address. welcome to "fox news live." i'm griff jenkins, one more hour, let's go. iewsh irish i'm aishah hasnie. trump is making his picks for the new head of the rnc. mark meredith is live in atlanta now9 with the very latest. hi, mark. >> reporter: aishah is, good afternoon to you. the biden-harris campaign sayses it is ready to spend big to win over undecided voters, laurenuping a new $30 million, 6 if week ad campaign and we, of course, will expect to see the president out here later on today. this'll be the second battleground state stop that biden has made this week alone. he was in pennsylvania on friday, and he delivered a message to supporters insisting voters or will believe there is a stark contrast at the polls come this november if. >> folks, our freedoms really are on the ballot this november. donald trump and the maga republicans are trying to take away our freedoms. that's not an exaggeration. well, guess what? we will not let him. >> reporter: president biden's visit here to georgia will be at the same time that the campaign is launching a new effort to reach out to minority if voters, but the contrast of all this is while president biden's here if atlanta, about an hour north of where we are we're going to see former president trump also rallying his supporters ahead of georgia's primary which is going to be on tuesday. overnight the trump campaign posted some new photos of the former president sitting down with hungary's prime minister at mar-a-lago. the hungarian leader has a close relationship with russia and is considered an autocrat of his country. trump, though, says he was glad to have him. he posted, quote, it was an honor having the prime minister as my guests, victor is a great leader, respected all over the world. hungary is a safe country because of his strong immigration policies, and as long as he's in charges it will always be. trump continues to try to make this election all about immigration, and the polls >> shown -- have shown that immigration is the top if not the top issue that has voters on their mind between now and november. we're going to see these dueling vents but no indication, aishah, that the presidents will be anywhere close to each other. aishah: this might become a trend, i think, dueling events. we'll see. we've got a long season ahead. >> reporter: if only hawaii was the the closer contest -- [laughter] aishah: you would raise your hand for that. thanks, mark. [laughter] griff: meanwhile, president biden is touting better than expected jobs report numbers. of lucas tomlinson is live from the white house with the latest updates. hey, lucas. >> reporter: that's right, griff. the jobs report beat expectations, 275,000 new jobs created haas month though unemployment ticked up from 3.7 to 3.9. and if our viewers are wondering when those prices will come down at the grocery store, the head of the federal reserve in chicago says that's not gonna happen. >> it's not realistic to expect that we would get the price level back to what it was pre-covid. you'd really have to have a massive recession in the economy to try to drive the prices down. >> reporter: let's are drill down into that jobs report, griff. about a third of the new jobs came from the health care and social assistance sec -- sector, 52,000 were government jobs. manufacturing saw a drop of 4,000 jobs. here's morrissey with his reaction. >> what's really disturbing is how much of the growth is in the public sector or subsidized by the public sector. basically, you've got an economy on speed, not an economy with healthy growth. >> reporter: and as you mentioned, this state of the union was not without several interruptions. georgia congresswoman marjorie taylor greene demanding president biden say the name of that young woman killed by an illegal immigrant in her home state. biden said lincoln riley, not laken. in the last hour some reaction from democratic congress month jake auchincloss. >> the president was using one of his superpowers, which is empathy, to connect with the american people on an issue they have repeatedly said is one of their top priorities which is the border. the border is not secure right now. >> reporter: as we heard for mark in the last mitt there, president biden is on his way to georgia aboard air force one right now, of course, a critical swing state in 2024, a state that trump won in 2016 and narrowly lost in 020. griff? griff: lucas, uh-uh think we're going to have to press jake auchincloss on what the other superpowers are. interesting comment, indeet. lucas, thanks. aishah: good one. so for more on all of this and the 2024 election, let's bring in the vogel group principal matt key land and president of corcoran ski group matt hour. -- hauer. so these dueling remarks i find very interesting. we have some down at the border, now in georgia. i think it would be actually an impressive strategy for the trump campaign to just show up wherever the current president is, and then you have a split screen of what the two options are. what do you make of that? >> i mean, it's one strategy, though you probably don't want to be chasing one candidate around the entire time. i will say just the nature of the ever shrinking number of exit iftive swing states that can -- competitive swing states that can be won or in november, so they're going to spend an inordinate amount of time there. georgia's very important to joe biden in the sense the black community is part of his base. he's coming off an amazing speech where he was targeting the base. he's talking to his base voters in atlanta. georgia's a swing state, and it's also where trump is on trial for treeing to steal an election, so it's a good spot for joe biden to be campaigning in. aishah: a case that might actually fall apart. we have no idea who they're eyeing, and some of the biggest names have, you know, backed off. you're not going to see naimly -- nikki haley or joe manchin do this. at the end of the day, even if they put somebody on a ticket, it hurts joe biden >> and possibly trump depending on who's the person on the ticket. to matt's point earlier, the state of the union was an offensive moo -- maneuver. i think he showed the american public what he's going to do -- >> not the place for it. uniting the country at the state of the union -- >> i mean -- aishah: it's a campaign pitch too. enter trump's been very political, he even awarded rush limbaugh the presidential medal of freedom. irish okay yeah. what do you make of this third party? aishah: a recognizable candidate. >> they don't have any candidate right now, so that's going to be the toughest part. any candidate that doesn't want to be a spoiler for their party's nominee. aishah: really quickly matt, i want to ask you this, what does the former president have to do with all these people and joe biden? >> yeah. first of all, i think there's a positive here, griff. at the beginning there's no doubt the republicans are going to get initially what they need. they're going to be able to drive home the point using robert hur's testimony that there are two systems of justice in the united states thanks to merrick daughterland and joe biden's department of justice. there's the trump standard and then there's everyone else, specifically joe biden, hunter biden. and the republican, griff, i think are going to be able to use the testimony of robert hur to point out that if you're donald trump, you get indicted for things in that you arguably have a constitutional a right to do as the commander in chief, the president of the united states, the only man in america that can declassify documents. you get indicted, but then you have joe biden who has classified documents when he was a senate, when he was the vice president with no legal authority to declassify and credit they go after donald trump and not joe biden. and that's the sort of thing that i think the are republicans are going to be able to the hammer home, griff, during this hearing. and i think it's going to lay the foundation for them to get additional information from the department of justice beyond just the testimony of robert hur on monday. griff: it's interesting, mark, because i think the american people are looking at this saying, wait a minute, special counsel hur said that he essentially didn't prosecute on this because of the alleged memory losses on the part of the president, and they pretty much wrote a report saying he's an elderly man with a poor memory. and there's some compassion perhaps to that point temperature ooh i'm not sure how it stands up legally when then you see president biden's state of the union and the house minority leader, hakeem jeffries, goes out and says this about the state of the president. >> smoking joe biden was on fire during the state of the union address. of he was lit, delivered a compelling vision for the american people. griff: so which is it, mark? former president trump holding dueling rallies in georgia today ahead of the peach state primary on tuesday. biden touting a strong economy in his administration ice agenda following his state of the union address. welcome to "fox news live." i'm griff jenkins, one more hour, let's go. iewsh irish i'm aishah hasnie. trump is making his picks for the new head of the rnc. mark meredith is live in atlanta now9 with the very latest. hi, mark. >> reporter: aishah is, good afternoon to you. the biden-harris campaign sayses it is ready to spend big to win over undecided voters, laurenuping a new $30 million, 6 if week ad campaign and we, of course, will expect to see the president out here later on today. this'll be the second battleground state stop that biden has made this week alone. he was in pennsylvania on friday, and he delivered a message to supporters insisting voters or will believe there is a stark contrast at the polls come this november if. >> folks, our freedoms really are on the ballot this november. donald trump and the maga republicans are trying to take away our freedoms. that's not an exaggeration. well, guess what? we will not let him. >> reporter: president biden's visit here to georgia will be at the same time that the campaign is launching a new effort to reach out to minority if voters, but the contrast of all this is while president biden's here if atlanta, about an hour north of where we are we're going to see former president trump also rallying his supporters ahead of georgia's primary which is going to be on tuesday. overnight the trump campaign posted some new photos of the former president sitting down with hungary's prime minister at mar-a-lago. the hungarian leader has a close relationship with russia and is considered an autocrat of his country. trump, though, says he was glad to have him. he posted, quote, it was an honor having the prime minister as my guests, victor is a great leader, respected all over the world. hungary is a safe country because of his strong immigration policies, and as long as he's in charges it will always be. trump continues to try to make this election all about immigration, and the polls >> shown -- have shown that immigration is the top if not the top issue that has voters on their mind between now and november. we're going to see these dueling vents but no indication, aishah, that the presidents will be anywhere close to each other. aishah: this might become a trend, i think, dueling events. we'll see. we've got a long season ahead. >> reporter: if only hawaii was the the closer contest -- [laughter] aishah: you would raise your hand for that. thanks, mark. well, lucky you. griff: the department of justice missing a deadline late this week to turn over recordings of special counsel robert hur's interview with president biden as part of the classified documents investigation. hur is set to testify on capitol hill on tuesday. in a a statement, the house judiciary committee says this: we received a small production from doj but not the transcripts or audio that we need and requested. we are evaluating next steps. for more on this let's bring in attorney mark smith. okay, mark, so the house judiciary committee wanted to build upon their own dive into the alleged memory lapses of president biden in the interview with special counsel hur. what do you make of where this stands, and that committee get what they need in tuesday's hearing? >> yeah. first of all, i think there's a positive here, griff. at the beginning there's no doubt the republicans are going to get initially what they need. they're going to be able to drive home the point using robert hur's testimony that there are two systems of justice in the united states thanks to merrick daughterland and joe biden's department of justice. there's the trump standard and then there's everyone else, specifically joe biden, hunter biden. and the republican, griff, i think are going to be able to use the testimony of robert hur to point out that if you're donald trump, you get indicted for things in that you arguably have a constitutional a right to do as the commander in chief, the president of the united states, the only man in america that can declassify documents. you get indicted, but then you have joe biden who has classified documents when he was a senate, when he was the vice president with no legal authority to declassify and credit they go after donald trump and not joe biden. and that's the sort of thing that i think the are republicans are going to be able to the hammer home, griff, during this hearing. and i think it's going to lay the foundation for them to get additional information from the department of justice beyond just the testimony of robert hur on monday. griff: it's interesting, mark, because i think the american people are looking at this saying, wait a minute, special counsel hur said that he essentially didn't prosecute on this because of the alleged memory losses on the part of the president, and they pretty much wrote a report saying he's an elderly man with a poor memory. and there's some compassion perhaps to that point temperature ooh i'm not sure how it stands up legally when then you see president biden's state of the union and the house minority leader, hakeem jeffries, goes out and says this about the state of the president. >> smoking joe biden was on fire during the state of the union address. of he was lit, delivered a compelling vision for the american people. griff: so which is it, mark? [laughter] is he lit or is he an elderly man with a poor memory, and does that need a legal rendering? >> well, if you think about it, griff, it really misses the point to talk about where joe biden's mental state is today. because when you are charged with a crime, the question is at the time you commit the acts, what was your mental state. whatever you want to say about joe bidened today, at the time that he decided to hold on to those classified documents and store them in a garage with an old car, by the way, what was joe biden's mental state at that point which undeniably was lieu sis add a best as joe -- lucid as best as a joe biden can be. but you're right, here you have a situation where joe biden according to all of the democrats, he is an intellectual giant, he is the best he's ever been, and and here you have a special counsel report from the department of justice saying he's not if capable of being chargeed because of mental deficiencies. so exactly right. i think this is another kind of point that the republicans will be able to drive home using the testimony of robert hur next week. griff: we shall see when we have hur on capitol hill and whether or not the house judiciary has any additional options if they don't get these audio and transcripts they say they need. mark smith, as always, thank you for taking time on saturday to give your insight, sir. >> thank you, griff. ooh. aishah: it's that time of year ago where we spring ahead for daylight saving time. next, the latest effort the keep the same time year round are. ♪ ♪ you always got your mind on the green. not you. you! your business bank account with quickbooks money now earns 5% apy.
