6:00 a.m. in gaza and this is breaking news coverage of the war in israel on america's late news, fox news at night. we are now 47 minutes from sunrise in israel, day 13 of the war, where tempers are flaring and protests are increasing at home and abroad following the gaza hospital explosion that president biden says, based on pentagon assessment is the fault of the militant group islamic jihad which, along with hamas, is also based in gaza but it appears the arab world is skeptical anything the u.s. or israel has to say and in an ominous message the iranian foreign minister says quoting here time is up. the statement is from brad new attacks from israel, gaza and hezbollah in lebanon. the senior foreign affairs correspondent greg palkot is live in israel's border with lebanon. greg. >> reporter: hey, trace, yeah. unrest is raging through the region after that blast at that hospital in gaza. there was a mass protest outside of the u.s. embassy in vertebrae route lebanon just across the border from where we are right now along with many other u.s. and israeli embassies and consulates throughout the mid east. yes, remember, hamas claimed it was an israeli strike that left 500 dead but israel and president biden, based on u.s. intelligence, he said, said it was a palestinian rocket. that did not stop the protesters, though. they clashed with lebanese army here. they set nearby buildings on fire. and there was a lot of unrest, too, trace, on the west bank. at least two people were killed in clashes between protesters and police. they're also upset about the overall humanitarian crisis and death toll in the gaza strip as israel pounds the place going after the hamas militants, of course, as we know responsible for all the death, carnage and hostage taking. there were some signs from president biden's visit he helped to arrange to get at least some aid into gaza strip. that has yet to happen however, and along this israel lebanon border that we're standing right next to, we've been witnessing for days sharp exchanges between the iran blacked hezbollah and israel. against hezbollah's allies. take a look at what we saw and heard earlier in this day. wrens over the israeli lebanon border town, six rockets fired, four knocked down by the israeli iron dome defense system. two got through. where you see that smoke right there, this is an israeli village being hit by a hezbollah missile. it came over the mountain in front of us, lebanon, just about a mile and a half away, first responders, military, police, moved out fast to try to see if anybody was injured, any casualties, what damage was there. soldiers assessed no one was hurt but continued the search. the border has been hot all week and deadly on both sides. drones keep watch 24/7. in fact, trace, a drone has been overhead our location for a good part of this evening watching and waiting to move. the real fear about moving is that hezbollah and its iranian backer might move to really create a second frontier to tie up at least some of the israeli military, which is amassed here while israel focuses on the main action right now, that is down in gaza and that deals with hamas. trace. >> degree we'll get back to you as the news breaks, stay safe. thank you. >> meantime president biden will soon land back in the u.s. from his trip to israel where he made clear whose side america is on and who is the blame for the gaza hospital explosion. though the president did not appear to have any tough words for iran. the senior national correspondent kevin corke is live in dc with more on biden's trip. good evening. >> reporter: good evening trace on the heels of the devastating explosion at the hospital in gaza, the president today announced the u.s. would accepted a hundred million dollars in humanitarian assistance for gaza and the west bank part of a day of very careful messageing from mr. biden who while expressing unwavering support for israel also acknowledged the outrage felt within the country. but also the into need for balance. . i was very blunt about the need to support getting humanitarian aid to gaza. get it to gaza and do it quickly. israel has been badly victimized but, you know, the truth is that if they have an opportunity to release the suffering of people who have nowhere to go, it's what they should do. >> trace:. >> reporter: biden says the money will support about a million people who have been displaced by theifying, including emergency service needs in gaza. he also says the funds will come from foreign aid already approved by congress and will ask congressional lawmakers for a security aid package for the days ahead. also tonight mr. biden said he was confident in the dod's assessment that the explosion at a hamas run on tuesday was the work of terrorists, not israel. quote i'm not saying hamas deliberately did it either, it's that old thing, you need to know how to shoot straight. biden also added, somehow backed israeli troops, were they attacked by hezbollah or false trace. >> trace: kevin thank you, bring in the general of israel to the pacific southwest and aaron cohen national counter-terrorism analyst. gentlemen thank you both. greg palkot was talking about the ground war. the ground war seems to be on hold for an extended purple. the british prime minister sue mack coming tomorrow doesn't appear it will happen then. a lot of people are asking do they need a ground war? maybe you just continue the aerial assault and a ground war is unnecessary. others say they're going to go in. well, my contention is that is reel is going to wait for as long as it takes to get enough intelligence and information and those commanders who are very talented leaders, trace. these guys come from top units in the israeli defense forces, typically they're attached to the general recognizance unit, they work that i way up that ten pole. and i really don't think it's political this is about making sure they have enough information so that when it's time to go in they're going in with as much intelligence as possible. it's tough you have tunnels and hospitals, two major things unfolding right now that they need to unpack and israel's going to take its time. we're going to get those terrorists nice and tired. >> twice during that you said time and i'm concerned about the time because you had said israel hamas needs to be toppled but the longer this goes on, to aaron's point, the support for israel to move in and respond to this horrific attack on them, becomes a lot less. >> yeah, but i want to tell you, you know, the best strategy to win a war is to fight the right war. so israel currently fighting -- israel is on the right side of history and on the right side of morality. so the international community, we call them to come and support israel and to be on the right side of history. that is what we are calling them to do right now. i think america got it right president biden got it right and that's what we are doing. for many many years international communities pressured israel to go for a containment strategy and that's what we did for too many years and we left hamas on our southern border. the prime minister said clearly this time hamas will be tougher and we're going to win this war. >> trace: it's interesting, back to what you were saying aaron about the tunnels, i know there's a lot of sophisticated tunnels in gaza. does it make it harder to fight? do you worry about the casualty count going up because of that tricky maneuvering that the israeli defense force would have. >> absolutely trace and the reason why is because those tunnels, think about the new york tunnel system. these things are elaborate being built for years and israel's had a lot of intelligence about those tunnels for a long time but to israel's statement, the gloves have been on. you know, we tried that containment for many many years but at this point right now, what you're seeing is again israel coming together, it's enough. and it will be violent and bloody but the good news is is that there's specialized units between idf, one particular unit that specializes a sapper unit an explosives disposal unit. they're sister units with the general staff recognizance unit and they have a lot of experience with those tunnels, training on it for years now. so it is going to be violent and it's unfortunate that we have to go into those tunnels but you know what? there's 40,000 terrorists waiting in gaza and the gloves are off and israel when time is right when they have to go in there it's time to finally dismantle hamas for good. >> trace: president biden was talking about today maybe the gloves being back on. he said this about not being consumed with rage. watch. >> i caution this, while you feel that rage, don't be consumed by it. after 9/11, we were enraged in the united states. while we sought justice and got justice we also made mistakes. >> trace: he appears to be saying take a step back but every time someone mentions that, iran keeps poking the bear. iran keeps trying to rev this thing up. >> clearly iran is our most vicious enemy and definitely iran is the problem accountor in the middle east. let's everybody understand it and everybody knows, even there are states afraid of iran. the only one trying to contain iran and to put iran and to point iran as the source of evil in the middle east is the israelis and we've been talking about it the last 15 years. let me tell you something, this campaign, finally everybody needs to understand that this campaign, and all the international players in the region and around the world, this campaign is not about territory, it's about terrorism. so if you want to win against terror and terror is not a local issue, terror is a global threat, it's a net israel, it threat in united states and it threaten europe and every other civilized city around the world. so if you want to win against, about terrorism and against terror we must look at the source and the source of terrorism in the middle east right now is iran. >> trace: yep. israel bahar aaron cohen thank you both >> meantime i vance continues to make less to israel even posting on social media quote time is over. bill melugin is live with what that might mean for iran's involvement in this iran hamas war. bill. >> reporter: for now it looks like the tension in the middle east is getting to a serious breaking point with iran making another valid threat against israel on social media. the iranian foreign minister posted on x formally known as twitter, quote, time is over, an ominous threat directed at israel as iran and its proxies appear to be gearing up for war against the state. hours after palestinians claimed a hospital in gaza was bombed in israel killing hundreds of palestinians. that claim now appears to be a false narrative punishmented by hamas and its supporters. some u.s. media outlets and even sitting u.s. congress women rashida talib and ilhan omar, israel released footage showing the explosion was actually in a parking area near the hospital with little damage to the hospital itself, and was caused by a failed rocket launch by the islamic jihad terrorist group. the idf says they also intercepted audience of terrorists in gaza talking about that failed rocket. >> reporter: as kevin report ready president biden was in israel today, he said his administration's own intelligence does back up israel's side of the story and that initial us review of evidence shows israel was not responsible for that explosion. and the false claims about the gaza explosion spread like wild fire leading to all sorts of protests across the middle east, even the new york times seemed to jump the gun, they initially used a photo of a destroyed building at a completely different location than the hospital. then they had to subtly change their headline multiple times after initially blaming israel but trace you saw yourself that narrative was off and running. >> trace: it was global, all the global media latched on that, ran with it and had to walk it back. bill thank you. more than 300 protesters arrested on capitol hill demanding a ceasefire in gaza a snap shot of demonstrations and riots going on around the world. marianne rafferty live with more on when tempers might cool a bit, maryanne. >> reporter: not sure when that's going to happen trace. anti israel protests around the world ramped up after an explosion in gaza earlier this week even though u.s. intel confirms islamic jihad militants are to blame. violent protests have been going on in lebanon for two days not far from the u.s. embassy. the state department has issued a level four do not travel advisory for americans. >> america is the devil, the real devil because it support israel. >> in iran people lit american and israeli flags on fire while tens of thousands took to the streets supporting palestinians in gaza and the united states today hundreds of demonstrators were arrested in capitol hill in wad after a protest there demanding a ceasefire. and in schi protesting condemned israel for genocide, in new york they stemmed them for hours holding palestinian flags. nypd called on every officer to report for duty just in case that demonstration turned violent. breaking tonight in tucker carlson, in front of the consulate in houston in support of gaza. in iraq they intercepted three drones targeting two us bases destroying two and damaging the third. officials say they are vigilantly monitoring the situation. no word yet, though owhere those drones may have come from. >> let's brick in middle east specialist and host of the watchman and kelly senior foreign policy advisor to the united nations. thank you for coming on. carrie you look at what's happening, seems very clear, marianne pointing this out, that the arab world is painting this as not just israel's war, israel and america's war. >> it makes it clear about what this is about, a lot of pro palestinian protests anti israel protests but when we see mobs burning down synagogues in israel and spain, when we see jewish dare cares, that is not anti israel it's anti-semitic and the fact that we're facing is there's no concept of truth anymore. we're in a situation where there's been very clear relevance that the instigator about the protests which was the lie of the rocket hitting a gaza hospital is not even being, you know, everybody is still believing nah lie. san-this is not an issue of israel and america versus the palestinians or right versus left. it's an issue at this point of frankly right versus wrong. >> right. and you go that, the iranian foreign minister and we talked about this a couple of times but i think it's instructive. i want to put this on the screen because you had most of this in persian right? posted on x formally twitter and the bottom is on english and talking about israel and and he says the bottom line says time is over. that is a pretty prominent warning your sense. >> zoningsly they have a gown the world's head. they're saying if we so choose, we will activate hospital and widen this war not only threatening israel but really black mailing in my way trace the world, the says as they're doing with their nuclear program. so iran says look we have all the power right now. if we want to activate hezbollah we can set the region on fire and unleash hill. if the head of the snake indeed resides in iran for global terror and it does trace, when will iran finally pay consequences for its action, the hey necessary attack, the massacre of october 7th would not have happened without the irany regime and its response to hamas. >> trace: back to your point kerry i want to play this because this is michigan congress one rashida talib as a protest today. watch. >> and to my president, our president, i'm not going to forget this and a lot of people are not going to forget this. it's not a threat. it sense. they joe we're doing. i mean i think the white house and everyone thinks that we're going to step back and let this continue to happen. >> trace: i want to say it again she says i think the white house and everyone that just sit back and let this continue to happen. what's the plan. >> well, in that same speech, the congresswoman repeated, once again, the lie that is reel launched this missile, even though she knew from intelligence warning from theed in, from our own pentagon or i'm happy that our president has stood up against hamas and terrorism. i fully agree with eric, he needs to do a lot more when it comes to the head of the beast here, the iranian regime and it is unfovr gettable that we have these carrier strike roots out into the earn mediterranean, and of course he just deleted that without checking. so iran is benning frommen weakness right now. it is going to the american strength that can reset deterrence but time is really running out at this point. >> trace: i can't very yeah it is and you look at what's happening in the middle east and you have hamas comparing themselves to george floyd. >> my concern trace israel, the longer the delay goes on with the ground invasion, some momentum is lost. in that, as we're talking about right now, the world debris dickably is returning to its default anti israel position. i think it's really stunning, trace, the moral gravity by the likes of rashida talib and others, think of the holocaust. the world was outraged by what they found, in this case 1400 jews massacred worst clarity of the jewish people since world war ii, we have mass protests, dark times. >> trace: yeah i have about 20 seconds left carrie. is it a big deal that they cancelled on president biden. >> i think given the amount of support the united states has provided in aid to the palestinians to egypt and to jordan over the years, i think it is a powerful message that that aid doesn't really buy us anything. at the end of the day egypt and jordan, if they really wanted to help, they would allow the palestinians to go into their countries and stay as refugees. they're a huge part of this problem as well. >> yeah, egypt is letting some aids come through but not any refugees from coming back. thank you both >> minutes away from sunrise in israel things are changing on the ground very fast. another live report with what is happening right now. and another step that grabbed a story for decades what happened to natalie holloway, remember the alabama teen-ager who disappeared during her senior trip to aruba. now her handling detailing exactly what happened. matt finn with the major update. next. cancelled plans? the (soft music) >> trace: welcome back to our continuing coverage of the war in israel. on the right-hand side of your screen, you are looking at a live picture of the israeli border with lebanon, and it's important that we keep going back here because this may soon be the pivotal front in this war. on the other side of that border in lebanon is hezbollah, and there was a war between hezbollah and israel 17 years ago. it lasted 31 days. we have been hearing word today that is israeli has fired munition across the lebanese border, erin cohen tells me that is because they are firing from incoming. so they're trying to take out incoming. so far no major skirmishes but they are very concerned about hezbollah attacking northern israel. we'll keep you posted on what happens up there. the main stream media jumping the gun in many cases taking hamas for its word about who to blame for the gaza hospital strike. let's bring in eddie scary columnist at the federalist and author of liberal misery. eddie it's great to have you on here. i just have to ask, i mean, why was it, why did the global media including msnbc the new york times and this country, why were they so e gar to take hamas word on this hospital strike? >> because it's what they always do. they did the same thing with black lives matter. anything that came out of black lives matter that activist organization which we knew what it was, any reasonable person knew what it was which was a scam out to get money and also a very violent organization to get what they want via violence or other means. they took their word for it. that's the way that the media treats things. they look at things and they think who's the oppressed person here? who is the most oppressed person and that gives some inherent moral authority. that's so the media has been doing for a very, very long time. it's no different here and in this case it's just so, so far, far, far worse. >> the anti defamation league wrote in an open letter to the media, it's mind boggling that the media presented claims from terrorist groups and assigned blame on israeli without question. basing their initial reports on statements from a spokesperson for the hamas run palestinian hamas in gaza as well as statements from pij hamas and other terrorist organizations. i mean, it's a great question they ask in this open letter. what's the motivation behind this? >> i mean, it's very interesting and without attributing motivation i will just say, we have seen -- there is a lot of evidence out there, a lot of examples there of the complete that you're speaking of that the people they have actually employed to write these reports, i clipped on the morning times, home page of the new york times, went to new york times.com every single day, clicked on the story that was about the hospital and everything. oh the by line has two women's names, i look at the pictures in the by line, it's two women, and it's the same thing for >> trace: a well known palestinian sympathizer you see the same things over and over again. if these were the people who were trusting to deliver the facts, to deliver some kind of neutral downthe middle of the lane facts, i think we're in pretty bad shape >> trace: and i can tell you the flaming the la times is very much the same. it's not just the media. here's rashida talib today. >> to just continue to watch people think it's okay to bomb a hospital with children. you know what's so hard is watching those videos and the people telling the kids, don't cry. like let them cry. >> trace: they're shouting shame, shame eddie, but not at talib. they're saying it to israel and she's lying to them and they're saying shame on israel. i have about 15 seconds for you. >> yeah, her and i will ham, the world's most ungrateful immigrants, i think. >> i'm not surprised by what either had to say and we know what their allegiance like, they say it over and over again and not treated by the media the same way they would treat the chaos of the house writ now because they can't elect a speaker. let's talk about these two and the allegiances they're showing no one wants to talk about that. >> trace: great to have you on thank you sir. >> thank you. >> trace: the 2005 disappearance of natalie holloway has cut a plea deal and for the first time van der sloth is not only confessing but the details what she disappeared. hard to listen to but here's matt finn. >> reporter: an exceptionally raw and emotional day in court here today in alabama nearly two years in the making, johan van der sloot was sentenced to prison for her mother beth. he claims he was kissing natalie holloway on the beach in aruba. he tried to take it a step further and she said no. she ended up kneeing her in the crotch. he then kicked her in the head and smashed her face with a cinder block and then dragged her into the ocean by himself, so he claims. i sat down with beth holloway today. she tells fox she thinks the confession is accurate in part because it was corroborated by ale polygraph and multiple fbi teams and she says she feels victorious. >> even though as hard as it is and it is shocking when you finally get the answers of what happened to natalie, the not knowing is worse. the not knowing is more torture us. >> and there was a powerful moment during holloway's victim impact statement when she will mentioned vandersloot's own daughter and then she looked vandersloot in the face and said you look like hell. she revealed he has two pressure points she had to press, thinking about his own daughter and his own appearance. vandersloot says he has found christ and become a different person. natalie holloway's body was never found and this confession is likely not going to change that. trace. >> trace: matt thank you. coming up steve hair began has been covering on fox news in lebanon and will give us how this war could escalate very rapidly. sunrise in 15 minutes, a live look again at the israel lebanon border. our continuing coverage of the war in israel, will it spread? >> reporter: that's right, trace, the sun just rising here in beirut amid reports from israeli military officials that they have been targeting hezbollah fighters in southern lebanon. now, the extent of that targeting not clear yet, but certainly what you are getting at earlier raising concerns about a possible second front. that would mean israel fighting hezbollah at its northern border after a tens day already here in beirut, major violence around the american and french embassy. hundreds of angry protesters, first throwing rocks then molotov cock talls at the 'em bathe, they cut through razor wire and a security barrier, no personnel were injured but it took lebanese security forces quite some time to push them back. the u.s. embassy already said non-essential personnel are now authorized to leave and more and more people are leaving lebanon, saudi arabia said its citizens should leave. the uk said its citizens should leave and leaving is about to get more and more difficult as more and more airlines cancelling flights luftansa. a warning, if hezbollah picks up a second front in the north they said it could be annihilation, israeli threatened annihilation for hezbollah if you were to do that. when you look around this nation, the economy here already teeters, 80% of people below the poverty line, if they were to get dragged in a major war in israel would you see major segments of this country simply collapse. trace back to you will. >> trace: steve harrigan live on the ground in lebanon thank you >> let's bring in former intel jns officer dan bream, rebecca heinrichs and aerial davidson. thank you all for coming on. aerial to you first, if you listen to steve and some of the reports around the region there, the big theme is that iran is working overtime to destabilize that region. what in your estimation should the response be? >> well, first off, the biden administration has been terrible from the get go with dealing with iran. iran's primary focus the last 40 years has been sporting the islamic revolution they've shown us that. the trump administration was quite adept although dealing with the iranians, but the biden administration, because i was so intent on invigorating, resist recollecting the iran deal, propers straighting ourselves before the iranians just to get any sliver of any sort of negotiation completed. it wa an embarrassment and we already set the playing field up such that we looked weak. appear that primarily was the imp so we're seeing that bear fruit now. what a weak lighthouse looks like, what a weak white house via vi i ran. >> trace: this as hezbollah watches and waits the unexpectedly high the israeli death toll is high, a reason the head of hezbollah keeps quiet, hedging, watching and seeing how far the israeli army will go into gaza and whether hezbollah will face an existential threat. even they iran would likely prefer to sacrifice to hamas rather than weight hezbollah as i ran comes under threat. seems to me iran needs hezbollah. >> if hamas needs to be the sack mental lab then that's what they should be getting into this fight. they profit off spreading chaos. not only in syria but in iran and the entire region. so they want to keep this movement going. and as aerial said, this is business for them and the biden administration has set them up with a cash cow for lack of a better word. >> trace: rebecca to you, i wonder if he's talking about, you know, kind of foe meanting this, the media around the world, because of these mistamed in the days and hours ahead? because some of the information, some of the correct information is getting about the hospital bombing. >> unfortunately i don't. jopling that the correct information is going to get to the people. i think cooler heads will prevail, and the middle east is a tinder box right now and so unfortunately i think we're going to see continued protests. very concerned about these embassies, not just of course in lebanon but across the middle east. i debris with the la iran doesn't want to get involved they already gained strategically because the saudi israel deal is on ice so for now if i r&b can sew turmoil in the middle east it's good for it so far. >> trace: aerial do you think that as time goes on, losing support maybe israel's losing some support from others. >> actually, this may be a bit unexpected but i don't actually think that is reel has lost support from any corners that i would expect it to have support. in fact, the only people, for whom i think israel lost support is who i expected, aka western academia quote unquote human rights organizations and american college students. if you actually look at the polling data over 70% of americans support israel's right to defend itself. and so that, for me, is evidence very loud voices on left with academia and international organizations, they're not representative of where most people with common sense are. >> i wonder don because as the president was talking today he said maybe we should not be so angry. maybe we should hold our rage, and he also said this about the 2-state solution. watch. >> must keep pursuing peace, let's keep pursuing a path so that is reel al the palestinian people can live safely and security and for me that means a two-state solution. must keep working for greater integration with its neighbors. >> well, i don't trace and i think in this case we have a president who almost comes across as he's afraid to have a hard line. he's trying to tear both sides. maybe he's not wanting to upset the progressive side of his own party but it feels like to me through all of his specious? 6:00 a.m. in gaza and this is breaking news coverage of the war in israel on america's late news, fox news at night. we are now 47 minutes from sunrise in israel, day 13 of the war, where tempers are flaring and protests are increasing at home and abroad following the gaza hospital explosion that president biden says, based on pentagon assessment is the fault of the militant group islamic jihad which, along with hamas, is also based in gaza but it appears the arab world is skeptical anything the u.s. or israel has to say and in an ominous message the iranian foreign minister says quoting here time is up. the statement is from brad new attacks from israel, gaza and hezbollah in lebanon. the senior foreign affairs correspondent greg palkot is live in israel's border with lebanon. greg. >> reporter: hey, trace, yeah. unrest is raging through the region after that blast at that hospital in gaza. there was a mass protest outside of the u.s. embassy in vertebrae route lebanon just across the border from where we are right now along with many other u.s. and israeli embassies and consulates throughout the mid east. yes, remember, hamas claimed it was an israeli strike that left 500 dead but israel and president biden, based on u.s. intelligence, he said, said it was a palestinian rocket. that did not stop the protesters, though. they clashed with lebanese army here. they set nearby buildings on fire. and there was a lot of unrest, too, trace, on the west bank. at least two people were killed in clashes between protesters and police. they're also upset about the overall humanitarian crisis and death toll in the gaza strip as israel pounds the place going after the hamas militants, of course, as we know responsible for all the death, carnage and hostage taking. there were some signs from president biden's visit he helped to arrange to get at least some aid into gaza strip. that has yet to happen however, and along this israel lebanon border that we're standing right next to, we've been witnessing for days sharp exchanges between the iran blacked hezbollah and israel. against hezbollah's allies. take a look at what we saw and heard earlier in this day. wrens over the israeli lebanon border town, six rockets fired, four knocked down by the israeli iron dome defense system. two got through. where you see that smoke right there, this is an israeli village being hit by a hezbollah missile. it came over the mountain in front of us, lebanon, just about a mile and a half away, first responders, military, police, moved out fast to try to see if anybody was injured, any casualties, what damage was there. soldiers assessed no one was hurt but continued the search. the border has been hot all week and deadly on both sides. drones keep watch 24/7. in fact, trace, a drone has been overhead our location for a good part of this evening watching and waiting to move. the real fear about moving is that hezbollah and its iranian backer might move to really create a second frontier to tie up at least some of the israeli military, which is amassed here while israel focuses on the main action right now, that is down in gaza and that deals with hamas. trace. >> degree we'll get back to you as the news breaks, stay safe. thank you. >> meantime president biden will soon land back in the u.s. from his trip to israel where he made clear whose side america is on and who is the blame for the gaza hospital explosion. though the president did not appear to have any tough words for iran. the senior national correspondent kevin corke is live in dc with more on biden's trip. good evening. >> reporter: good evening trace on the heels of the devastating explosion at the hospital in gaza, the president today announced the u.s. would accepted a hundred million dollars in humanitarian assistance for gaza and the west bank part of a day of very careful messageing from mr. biden who while expressing unwavering support for israel also acknowledged the outrage felt within the country. but also the into need for balance. . i was very blunt about the need to support getting humanitarian aid to gaza. get it to gaza and do it quickly. israel has been badly victimized but, you know, the truth is that if they have an opportunity to release the suffering of people who have nowhere to go, it's what they should do. >> trace:. >> reporter: biden says the money will support about a million people who have been displaced by theifying, including emergency service needs in gaza. he also says the funds will come from foreign aid already approved by congress and will ask congressional lawmakers for a security aid package for the days ahead. also tonight mr. biden said he was confident in the dod's assessment that the explosion at a hamas run on tuesday was the work of terrorists, not israel. quote i'm not saying hamas deliberately did it either, it's that old thing, you need to know how to shoot straight. biden also added, somehow backed israeli troops, were they attacked by hezbollah or false trace. >> trace: kevin thank you, bring in the general of israel to the pacific southwest and aaron cohen national counter-terrorism analyst. gentlemen thank you both. greg palkot was talking about the ground war. the ground war seems to be on hold for an extended purple. the british prime minister sue mack coming tomorrow doesn't appear it will happen then. a lot of people are asking do they need a ground war? maybe you just continue the aerial assault and a ground war is unnecessary. others say they're going to go in. well, my contention is that is reel is going to wait for as long as it takes to get enough intelligence and information and those commanders who are very talented leaders, trace. these guys come from top units in the israeli defense forces, typically they're attached to the general recognizance unit, they work that i way up that ten pole. and i really don't think it's political this is about making sure they have enough information so that when it's time to go in they're going in with as much intelligence as possible. it's tough you have tunnels and hospitals, two major things unfolding right now that they need to unpack and israel's going to take its time. we're going to get those terrorists nice and tired. >> twice during that you said time and i'm concerned about the time because you had said israel hamas needs to be toppled but the longer this goes on, to aaron's point, the support for israel to move in and respond to this horrific attack on them, becomes a lot less. >> yeah, but i want to tell you, you know, the best strategy to win a war is to fight the right war. so israel currently fighting -- israel is on the right side of history and on the right side of morality. so the international community, we call them to come and support israel and to be on the right side of history. that is what we are calling them to do right now. i think america got it right president biden got it right and that's what we are doing. for many many years international communities pressured israel to go for a containment strategy and that's what we did for too many years and we left hamas on our southern border. the prime minister said clearly this time hamas will be tougher and we're going to win this war. >> trace: it's interesting, back to what you were saying aaron about the tunnels, i know there's a lot of sophisticated tunnels in gaza. does it make it harder to fight? do you worry about the casualty count going up because of that tricky maneuvering that the israeli defense force would have. >> absolutely trace and the reason why is because those tunnels, think about the new york tunnel system. these things are elaborate being built for years and israel's had a lot of intelligence about those tunnels for a long time but to israel's statement, the gloves have been on. you know, we tried that containment for many many years but at this point right now, what you're seeing is again israel coming together, it's enough. and it will be violent and bloody but the good news is is that there's specialized units between idf, one particular unit that specializes a sapper unit an explosives disposal unit. they're sister units with the general staff recognizance unit and they have a lot of experience with those tunnels, training on it for years now. so it is going to be violent and it's unfortunate that we have to go into those tunnels but you know what? there's 40,000 terrorists waiting in gaza and the gloves are off and israel when time is right when they have to go in there it's time to finally dismantle hamas for good. >> trace: president biden was talking about today maybe the gloves being back on. he said this about not being consumed with rage. watch. >> i caution this, while you feel that rage, don't be consumed by it. after 9/11, we were enraged in the united states. while we sought justice and got justice we also made mistakes. >> trace: he appears to be saying take a step back but every time someone mentions that, iran keeps poking the bear. iran keeps trying to rev this thing up. >> clearly iran is our most vicious enemy and definitely iran is the problem accountor in the middle east. let's everybody understand it and everybody knows, even there are states afraid of iran. the only one trying to contain iran and to put iran and to point iran as the source of evil in the middle east is the israelis and we've been talking about it the last 15 years. let me tell you something, this campaign, finally everybody needs to understand that this campaign, and all the international players in the region and around the world, this campaign is not about territory, it's about terrorism. so if you want to win against terror and terror is not a local issue, terror is a global threat, it's a net israel, it threat in united states and it threaten europe and every other civilized city around the world. so if you want to win against, about terrorism and against terror we must look at the source and the source of terrorism in the middle east right now is iran. >> trace: yep. israel bahar aaron cohen thank you both >> meantime i vance continues to make less to israel even posting on social media quote time is over. bill melugin is live with what that might mean for iran's involvement in this iran hamas war. bill. >> reporter: for now it looks like the tension in the middle east is getting to a serious breaking point with iran making another valid threat against israel on social media. the iranian foreign minister posted on x formally known as twitter, quote, time is over, an ominous threat directed at israel as iran and its proxies appear to be gearing up for war against the state. hours after palestinians claimed a hospital in gaza was bombed in israel killing hundreds of palestinians. that claim now appears to be a false narrative punishmented by hamas and its supporters. some u.s. media outlets and even sitting u.s. congress women rashida talib and ilhan omar, israel released footage showing the explosion was actually in a parking area near the hospital with little damage to the hospital itself, and was caused by a failed rocket launch by the islamic jihad terrorist group. the idf says they also intercepted audience of terrorists in gaza talking about that failed rocket. >> reporter: as kevin report ready president biden was in israel today, he said his administration's own intelligence does back up israel's side of the story and that initial us review of evidence shows israel was not responsible for that explosion. and the false claims about the gaza explosion spread like wild fire leading to all sorts of protests across the middle east, even the new york times seemed to jump the gun, they initially used a photo of a destroyed building at a completely different location than the hospital. then they had to subtly change their headline multiple times after initially blaming israel but trace you saw yourself that narrative was off and running. >> trace: it was global, all the global media latched on that, ran with it and had to walk it back. bill thank you. more than 300 protesters arrested on capitol hill demanding a ceasefire in gaza a snap shot of demonstrations and riots going on around the world. marianne rafferty live with more on when tempers might cool a bit, maryanne. >> reporter: not sure when that's going to happen trace. anti israel protests around the world ramped up after an explosion in gaza earlier this week even though u.s. intel confirms islamic jihad militants are to blame. violent protests have been going on in lebanon for two days not far from the u.s. embassy. the state department has issued a level four do not travel advisory for americans. >> america is the devil, the real devil because it support israel. >> in iran people lit american and israeli flags on fire while tens of thousands took to the streets supporting palestinians in gaza and the united states today hundreds of demonstrators were arrested in capitol hill in wad after a protest there demanding a ceasefire. and in schi protesting condemned israel for genocide, in new york they stemmed them for hours holding palestinian flags. nypd called on every officer to report for duty just in case that demonstration turned violent. breaking tonight in tucker carlson, in front of the consulate in houston in support of gaza. in iraq they intercepted three drones targeting two us bases destroying two and damaging the third. officials say they are vigilantly monitoring the situation. no word yet, though owhere those drones may have come from. >> let's brick in middle east specialist and host of the watchman and kelly senior foreign policy advisor to the united nations. thank you for coming on. carrie you look at what's happening, seems very clear, marianne pointing this out, that the arab world is painting this as not just israel's war, israel and america's war. >> it makes it clear about what this is about, a lot of pro palestinian protests anti israel protests but when we see mobs burning down synagogues in israel and spain, when we see jewish dare cares, that is not anti israel it's anti-semitic and the fact that we're facing is there's no concept of truth anymore. we're in a situation where there's been very clear relevance that the instigator about the protests which was the lie of the rocket hitting a gaza hospital is not even being, you know, everybody is still believing nah lie. san-this is not an issue of israel and america versus the palestinians or right versus left. it's an issue at this point of frankly right versus wrong. >> right. and you go that, the iranian foreign minister and we talked about this a couple of times but i think it's instructive. i want to put this on the screen because you had most of this in persian right? posted on x formally twitter and the bottom is on english and talking about israel and and he says the bottom line says time is over. that is a pretty prominent warning your sense. >> zoningsly they have a gown the world's head. they're saying if we so choose, we will activate hospital and widen this war not only threatening israel but really black mailing in my way trace the world, the says as they're doing with their nuclear program. so iran says look we have all the power right now. if we want to activate hezbollah we can set the region on fire and unleash hill. if the head of the snake indeed resides in iran for global terror and it does trace, when will iran finally pay consequences for its action, the hey necessary attack, the massacre of october 7th would not have happened without the irany regime and its response to hamas. >> trace: back to your point kerry i want to play this because this is michigan congress one rashida talib as a protest today. watch. >> and to my president, our president, i'm not going to forget this and a lot of people are not going to forget this. it's not a threat. it sense. they joe we're doing. i mean i think the white house and everyone thinks that we're going to step back and let this continue to happen. >> trace: i want to say it again she says i think the white house and everyone that just sit back and let this continue to happen. what's the plan. >> well, in that same speech, the congresswoman repeated, once again, the lie that is reel launched this missile, even though she knew from intelligence warning from theed in, from our own pentagon or i'm happy that our president has stood up against hamas and terrorism. i fully agree with eric, he needs to do a lot more when it comes to the head of the beast here, the iranian regime and it is unfovr gettable that we have these carrier strike roots out into the earn mediterranean, and of course he just deleted that without checking. so iran is benning frommen weakness right now. it is going to the american strength that can reset deterrence but time is really running out at this point. >> trace: i can't very yeah it is and you look at what's happening in the middle east and you have hamas comparing themselves to george floyd. >> my concern trace israel, the longer the delay goes on with the ground invasion, some momentum is lost. in that, as we're talking about right now, the world debris dickably is returning to its default anti israel position. i think it's really stunning, trace, the moral gravity by the likes of rashida talib and others, think of the holocaust. the world was outraged by what they found, in this case 1400 jews massacred worst clarity of the jewish people since world war ii, we have mass protests, dark times. >> trace: yeah i have about 20 seconds left carrie. is it a big deal that they cancelled on president biden. >> i think given the amount of support the united states has provided in aid to the palestinians to egypt and to jordan over the years, i think it is a powerful message that that aid doesn't really buy us anything. at the end of the day egypt and jordan, if they really wanted to help, they would allow the palestinians to go into their countries and stay as refugees. they're a huge part of this problem as well. >> yeah, egypt is letting some aids come through but not any refugees from coming back. thank you both >> minutes away from sunrise in israel things are changing on the ground very fast. another live report with what is happening right now. and another step that grabbed a story for decades what happened to natalie holloway, remember the alabama teen-ager who disappeared during her senior trip to aruba. now her handling detailing exactly what happened. matt finn with the major update. next. cancelled plans? the (soft music) >> trace: welcome back to our continuing coverage of the war in israel. on the right-hand side of your screen, you are looking at a live picture of the israeli border with lebanon, and it's important that we keep going back here because this may soon be the pivotal front in this war. on the other side of that border in lebanon is hezbollah, and there was a war between hezbollah and israel 17 years ago. it lasted 31 days. we have been hearing word today that is israeli has fired munition across the lebanese border, erin cohen tells me that is because they are firing from incoming. so they're trying to take out incoming. so far no major skirmishes but they are very concerned about hezbollah attacking northern israel. we'll keep you posted on what happens up there. the main stream media jumping the gun in many cases taking hamas for its word about who to blame for the gaza hospital strike. let's bring in eddie scary columnist at the federalist and author of liberal misery. eddie it's great to have you on here. i just have to ask, i mean, why was it, why did the global media including msnbc the new york times and this country, why were they so e gar to take hamas word on this hospital strike? >> because it's what they always do. they did the same thing with black lives matter. anything that came out of black lives matter that activist organization which we knew what it was, any reasonable person knew what it was which was a scam out to get money and also a very violent organization to get what they want via violence or other means. they took their word for it. that's the way that the media treats things. they look at things and they think who's the oppressed person here? who is the most oppressed person and that gives some inherent moral authority. that's so the media has been doing for a very, very long time. it's no different here and in this case it's just so, so far, far, far worse. >> the anti defamation league wrote in an open letter to the media, it's mind boggling that the media presented claims from terrorist groups and assigned blame on israeli without question. basing their initial reports on statements from a spokesperson for the hamas run palestinian hamas in gaza as well as statements from pij hamas and other terrorist organizations. i mean, it's a great question they ask in this open letter. what's the motivation behind this? >> i mean, it's very interesting and without attributing motivation i will just say, we have seen -- there is a lot of evidence out there, a lot of examples there of the complete that you're speaking of that the people they have actually employed to write these reports, i clipped on the morning times, home page of the new york times, went to new york times.com every single day, clicked on the story that was about the hospital and everything. oh the by line has two women's names, i look at the pictures in the by line, it's two women, and it's the same thing for >> trace: a well known palestinian sympathizer you see the same things over and over again. if these were the people who were trusting to deliver the facts, to deliver some kind of neutral downthe middle of the lane facts, i think we're in pretty bad shape >> trace: and i can tell you the flaming the la times is very much the same. it's not just the media. here's rashida talib today. >> to just continue to watch people think it's okay to bomb a hospital with children. you know what's so hard is watching those videos and the people telling the kids, don't cry. like let them cry. >> trace: they're shouting shame, shame eddie, but not at talib. they're saying it to israel and she's lying to them and they're saying shame on israel. i have about 15 seconds for you. >> yeah, her and i will ham, the world's most ungrateful immigrants, i think. >> i'm not surprised by what either had to say and we know what their allegiance like, they say it over and over again and not treated by the media the same way they would treat the chaos of the house writ now because they can't elect a speaker. let's talk about these two and the allegiances they're showing no one wants to talk about that. >> trace: great to have you on thank you sir. >> thank you. >> trace: the 2005 disappearance of natalie holloway has cut a plea deal and for the first time van der sloth is not only confessing but the details what she disappeared. hard to listen to but here's matt finn. >> reporter: an exceptionally raw and emotional day in court here today in alabama nearly two years in the making, johan van der sloot was sentenced to prison for her mother beth. he claims he was kissing natalie holloway on the beach in aruba. he tried to take it a step further and she said no. she ended up kneeing her in the crotch. he then kicked her in the head and smashed her face with a cinder block and then dragged her into the ocean by himself, so he claims. i sat down with beth holloway today. she tells fox she thinks the confession is accurate in part because it was corroborated by ale polygraph and multiple fbi teams and she says she feels victorious. >> even though as hard as it is and it is shocking when you finally get the answers of what happened to natalie, the not knowing is worse. the not knowing is more torture us. >> and there was a powerful moment during holloway's victim impact statement when she will mentioned vandersloot's own daughter and then she looked vandersloot in the face and said you look like hell. she revealed he has two pressure points she had to press, thinking about his own daughter and his own appearance. vandersloot says he has found christ and become a different person. natalie holloway's body was never found and this confession is likely not going to change that. trace. >> trace: matt thank you. coming up steve hair began has been covering on fox news in lebanon and will give us how this war could escalate very rapidly. sunrise in 15 minutes, a live look again at the israel lebanon border. our continuing coverage of the war in israel, will it spread? >> reporter: that's right, trace, the sun just rising here in beirut amid reports from israeli military officials that they have been targeting hezbollah fighters in southern lebanon. now, the extent of that targeting not clear yet, but certainly what you are getting at earlier raising concerns about a possible second front. that would mean israel fighting hezbollah at its northern border after a tens day already here in beirut, major violence around the american and french embassy. hundreds of angry protesters, first throwing rocks then molotov cock talls at the 'em bathe, they cut through razor wire and a security barrier, no personnel were injured but it took lebanese security forces quite some time to push them back. the u.s. embassy already said non-essential personnel are now authorized to leave and more and more people are leaving lebanon, saudi arabia said its citizens should leave. the uk said its citizens should leave and leaving is about to get more and more difficult as more and more airlines cancelling flights luftansa. a warning, if hezbollah picks up a second front in the north they said it could be annihilation, israeli threatened annihilation for hezbollah if you were to do that. when you look around this nation, the economy here already teeters, 80% of people below the poverty line, if they were to get dragged in a major war in israel would you see major segments of this country simply collapse. trace back to you will. >> trace: steve harrigan live on the ground in lebanon thank you >> let's bring in former intel jns officer dan bream, rebecca heinrichs and aerial davidson. thank you all for coming on. aerial to you first, if you listen to steve and some of the reports around the region there, the big theme is that iran is working overtime to destabilize that region. what in your estimation should the response be? >> well, first off, the biden administration has been terrible from the get go with dealing with iran. iran's primary focus the last 40 years has been sporting the islamic revolution they've shown us that. the trump administration was quite adept although dealing with the iranians, but the biden administration, because i was so intent on invigorating, resist recollecting the iran deal, propers straighting ourselves before the iranians just to get any sliver of any sort of negotiation completed. it wa an embarrassment and we already set the playing field up such that we looked weak. appear that primarily was the imp so we're seeing that bear fruit now. what a weak lighthouse looks like, what a weak white house via vi i ran. >> trace: this as hezbollah watches and waits the unexpectedly high the israeli death toll is high, a reason the head of hezbollah keeps quiet, hedging, watching and seeing how far the israeli army will go into gaza and whether hezbollah will face an existential threat. even they iran would likely prefer to sacrifice to hamas rather than weight hezbollah as i ran comes under threat. seems to me iran needs hezbollah. >> if hamas needs to be the sack mental lab then that's what they should be getting into this fight. they profit off spreading chaos. not only in syria but in iran and the entire region. so they want to keep this movement going. and as aerial said, this is business for them and the biden administration has set them up with a cash cow for lack of a better word. >> trace: rebecca to you, i wonder if he's talking about, you know, kind of foe meanting this, the media around the world, because of these mistamed in the days and hours ahead? because some of the information, some of the correct information is getting about the hospital bombing. >> unfortunately i don't. jopling that the correct information is going to get to the people. i think cooler heads will prevail, and the middle east is a tinder box right now and so unfortunately i think we're going to see continued protests. very concerned about these embassies, not just of course in lebanon but across the middle east. i debris with the la iran doesn't want to get involved they already gained strategically because the saudi israel deal is on ice so for now if i r&b can sew turmoil in the middle east it's good for it so far. >> trace: aerial do you think that as time goes on, losing support maybe israel's losing some support from others. >> actually, this may be a bit unexpected but i don't actually think that is reel has lost support from any corners that i would expect it to have support. in fact, the only people, for whom i think israel lost support is who i expected, aka western academia quote unquote human rights organizations and american college students. if you actually look at the polling data over 70% of americans support israel's right to defend itself. and so that, for me, is evidence very loud voices on left with academia and international organizations, they're not representative of where most people with common sense are. >> i wonder don because as the president was talking today he said maybe we should not be so angry. maybe we should hold our rage, and he also said this about the 2-state solution. watch. >> must keep pursuing peace, let's keep pursuing a path so that is reel al the palestinian people can live safely and security and for me that means a two-state solution. must keep working for greater integration with its neighbors. >> well, i don't trace and i think in this case we have a president who almost comes across as he's afraid to have a hard line. he's trying to tear both sides. maybe he's not wanting to upset the progressive side of his own party but it feels like to me through all of his specious? one sentence, he's supporting israel and then the next. like they say in cases of war you have to pick a side. >> your final thoughts, well, we're about ready to see that both sides from the statement from the president. at this point israel must destroyed that mags. if you look at the saudis, the egyptians, the jourdainians, privately i think they would love to see israel destroy hamas, they don't want the spill over so they need to make sure they're speaking comfortably in the a way you don't have at home and you'll need that. >> rebecca, dawn, earlyingr >> kevin corke is back with snore terrestric percent sarns is the word of the day on capitol hill even though in many quarters obviously they would like the word to be victory. alas that was not the case today for ohio gop congressman jim jordan, the judiciary chairman falling short in a second bid to become speaker of the house, his tally 199 votes marking the first time in nearly a century that a majority party speaker nominee received fewer than 200 votes. for a bit of context, democrat hakeem jeffries picked up 212. the next vote is set for thursday. grab your popcorn, it should be interesting trace. >> trace: kevin, thank you. >> coming up israel's war with hamas entering day 13, that's a live look in stroot israel in the southern part of the country. protests, final thoughts with our panel coming up as daylight our panel coming up as daylight comes up in the midd they'd go, oh, you don't look like an engineer. there is this preconception. some things are for boys. but diversity drives innovation. my goal is to really flip the script. pick something that you love and go for it. how do we live in space? will it begin? let's bring back our panel for some final thoughts, bill melugin, kevin corke. and erin to you first, that's your question, the ground war, when will it begin and will it begin. >> it's going to begin when the command of israel feels that they have enough intelligence, when they feel like they have enough information about the bunkers, the hostages, a lot of pieces being connected here. i don't think there's any political ties here, this is purely strategic now. this is all tactical-related, tanks, infantry units, the brigade, counter terrorism units, assets from the border patrol, a lot of pieces right now. it will go when it's ready. >> kevin to you because the president wants to send a hundred million dollars into gaza. lot of concern about where that money might end up. >> yeah, the president today trace said listen if hamas tries to divert these funds it will end as a practical matter. the real question remains, are they desperate enough to did that disregarding the health and welfare of their people or will they finally if you listen to those who familiar. >> kerry iran just keeps poking the bear. >> yeah, and unfortunately we're going to keep seeing them do that. the whole goal is to weaken the united states and sew discord, they are in a de facto alliance with russia and chinaen a this is why you need leadership that emphasizes american strength and deterrence they don't need much to tilt in the direction. >> while everybody is watching gaza we need to continue to watch the northern board, i've been in on live fire drills as a correspondent with the israeli defense forces they are primed and ready. they know the real larger war lies eventually to the north. >> trace: and bill melugin the media putting a false narrative out. >> with the hospital bombing the lie gets half way around the world before the truth can put its pants on and these are the people saying last week we can't take that babies being slaughtered at face veil we need pictures bull they're willing to run with this without verifying it. >> trace: thank you for watching america's late news fox news at night. i'm trace gallagher in los angeles. we'll see you back here tomorrow. along with clearer skin skyrizi helps me move with less joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and fatigue. and is just 4 doses a year after 2 starter doses. serious allergic reactions and an increased risk of infections or a lower ability to fight them may occur. tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms, had a vaccine, or plan to. there's nothing like clearer skin and better movement-and that means everything! ask your doctor about skyrizi today. learn how abbvie could help you save. frustrated by skin tags?
