[cheering] [applause] >> harris: where is he going? you see president biden leaving the stage and exiting the ceremony before it was over. he walked off the stage after putting the medal of honor around his neck. the president hoofed out heading for the door. many reacted with fury, some speculated the president was trying to give the soldier the spotlight. >> kayleigh: i have never seen my former boss do that or any president do that. those speculating he wanted to give him the spotlight, i don't buy it. he has a lot of time for the beach and he doesn't have time for people of east palestine and he hasn't been. it is september and it happened february 3. he did go down to florida, he surveys the damage and has ariel travel over the state, he sees homes shifted you hava the foundation and goes unprompted to a group of reporters and says, i do not have a home. he does not have empathy, not recognizing a grandchild until recently, the checking of watch during a dignified transfer. don't tell me joe biden is empathetic, i don't believe it. >> harris: look at that litany, such a record for the president. the white house continues to defend him. it is their job, but -- >> brian: couple things, people like barack obama, he had a body man with him and ended up being a great guy. this guy needs a floor manager, he never knows where to go. john, our floor manager, he is always telling us what camera. >> harris: i have never seen you wander out of the studio. >> brian: when he stops talking, where am i, who am i? no way he is being differential. he would go like this, this is your time, take the stage. he was walking off because he is clueless, never anybody around him. this is not a hard thing, stay, come, walk this way. this is exit, this is trance. they just gave a biographer two years of unlimited access. he does not seem like an empathetic person or like he's enjoying the job. volatile, angry all the time, people don't want to be around him, he is quick to explode. a lot of policy, he tries to walk back, like immigration disaster. you can't do that. he is not in charge. he doesn't have respect of his staff and we have a biographer who was hired not to be bob woodward, excerpts do not look like he is in charge. >> harris: if that is a friend writing the truth about you, my goodness. emily, can we say covid is over, it will recur. doctors have said just like flu and everything else. if octogenarians are in the room and that close to each other and one had close covid exposure and told to wear a mask and he's putting something around the neck of an 81-year-old, keep his mask on, president of the united states, whose white house is writing the rules about masking for him. >> emily: brian, your point was well made. one of the law firms i worked for, a named partner was in his 90s. he would come from his house, he would come sit at head of the table, not say anything, he would wear a suit and go out and he passed shortly after. symbolism was clear, fulfillment it garnered for him, his family and the firm, buts nothing to be gained from his presence. that is what this president has done, biggest symbolism is turning your back on someone. if he wanted to see the spotlight for the medal of honor recipient, he would have stood to the side and waited for applause to end and the emcee to read the concluding prayer, which he did. for those explaining this away, point to honor of medal ceremony where he did stay as concluding prayer was said. none of that comported with protocol or with past behavior and decisions. >> emily: interesting, what you are pointing to, perhaps is degradation, is change. >> emily: disdain, lack of respect. >> i don't think the president was being purposely disrespectful, he thought the ceremony was over. he delivered the speech and put medal of honor around captain taylor's neck. it seems he thought that was his cue to leave. if that is sure, i'm sure he feels bad about it right now and that goes to the mental acuity aspect. the book brian mentioned, about how he feels white house staffers are babying him. that is the age thing. he's the president. scrutiny is part of the job, even during unfortunate times and this is. as president, you don't want to take away from who and what this ceremony is about and captain taylor is the headline here and i'm glad the ceremonies are televised. you hear the story of why he received this medal of honor, trying to save the lives of four men surrounded. he was in a helicopter firing down. the other helicopter decided not to come, i will do double duty and stay and get the guys out. they were hanging on to his helicopter, he put his life on the line. that is the story here. i'm glad the ceremonies are televised. in this situation, look at what the person does, i doubt captain taylor cares what the president did, this is his moment. >> emily: hope that is true. i love the examples you gave, clearly a condition is degrading here and it does hurts people. coming up, mask mania could be back. elementary school near d.c. is reinstating its many evera a few reported cases of covid. is this just the beginning? is that something you would consider? a man would give what is due from moment of conception. >> most of the women do not want to have abortion, they feel they have no other oping because they get no support. a lot of men are nowhere to be found. they should provide support and be held accountable. in florida we recognized being pro-life means for post-partum medical care to a full year after they have a child. we have done things to advance foster care and adoption, something we want to foster. it comes down to whether women think it is financially feasible to do that. they don't get support from the father, it can be overwhelming, we are sympathetic to women in that situation. >> senator blackburn considering grants to states to put armed guards at schools, is that something you would in florida? >> we had a traumatic incidents in the state and i've become friends with the parents and we put our money where our mouths are. the guardian program allows civilians to carry on campus. media and left say teachers should not be forced to carry a firearm. these bad guys gravitate to soft targets, if they think they are walking into a school and don't know what is behind the door, they are less likely to do that. we have done a lot in florida. if there is a role to provide support, that could make a difference. maybe some grants. >> for suburban women, i hear a lot about education and curriculum and "washington post" poll came out and said 77%, it wasn't packaged with florida specifically, 77% do not want gender ideology in k-12. is there a role for the federal government as pertains to curriculum? >> we will not have a national curriculum, in florida, the model for the country. we want education, not indoctrination and parents to have their rights protected. they have right to direct education and upbringing of their kid and parents should be able to send their kids to school without having an agenda shoved down their throat. no one thought you would teach a second grader they can change genders. it is not true and inappropriate. parent rights should apply nationally. how you do that in terms of congress acting, there are strings in terms of federal funding people take. bottom line, i will be on the side of parents and having curriculum that is rooted in academic achievement and parents have right to inspect curriculum. it is unfortunate there has been pornography in schools and media will say if you take a porno graphic book out of a room, that is banning a book. no, you don't jam adult material into elementary school environment. if adults want adult material, do that on their own time. watch hunter biden's laptop for all i care, do not bring it to our schoolchildren. it is about health of our country. our country, we will not be able to reverse decline unless we get education system back on proper footing. >> thank you, governor. >> kayleigh: harris, one thing i was surprised, not a single republican talk about supporting vulnerable women. we heard him saying men should pay women when it comes to child support. we heard him say on school safety, should have grants given to allow school safety and no national curriculum when it comes to education. >> harris: talking about abortion after the debate, we were together after that on the show. you said so much was left off the table and that is some of what was left off the table. you had eight people on the stage and had to get there, it is important as the -- you don't get to hear the stuff and foster care end is something that doesn't get talked about. i liked what he said, when he said from soup to nuts, i might be paraphrasing, the life of the child you want to save, you have a plan for that and that mom has to feel supported. >> kayleigh: and something like rubio's act, you as men must support women during pregnancy, we support child support obligation. if every candidate committed to that, what a signal from the republican party. we are pro-life and supporting life. the republican parties biden we are committed to grants. >> brian: instead of six weeks, 15 weeks, you said what about the baby after a child is born. i had never seen that stat thats most times women want to have the baby, they don't feel financially they can do it. we never talk about abortion at all and now talking about abortion 6 to 15 weeks or at all and what are reasons women don't have the child. usually third rail, how do we get into it, it is personal. that is where the conversation has to go, if you want to solve it. great category, suburban women probably will decide this next election and that is where president trump lost the most in 2020. >> harris: yeah, not just solve it, if you want to beat democrats on this issue because they are gal valized by it. we saw polling out of roe v. wade. if you want to take them on, deal with this issue as a party. >> kayleigh: one thing i found interesting he said to the point about women not wanting to have abortion. a institution poll this and women feel their decision is coerced and i spoke last night with leader in the pro-life movement and he said when we poll tested this issue, number one question that moved voters, when we said, would you support ballot initiative if it allowed women to coerce be coerced to have abortions? that was a good start. >> emily: framing matters, narrative matters when you are combating the left, which has arsenal and surgical dagger way of distorting and perverting how people feel about the pro-life movement. i appreciated that you drew out practicality and enforcement or how it would be done by the governor. part of people's frustration of candidates when everything is aspirational and we saw at first debate nikki haley said, let's brass tacks, this is why this matters and i appreciated that. how are you going to get that done? he brought up national legislation in the form of education, i appreciated that style. what struck you about that? >> kayleigh: i couldn't help but chuckle when he mentioned hunter biden's laptop, quite a line. >> carley: to the point of ron desantis, likeability, which i think is strange and unfair. i don't personally care if a politician is likeable, do you get things done?
