hawaii. the tropical hawaiian paradise the middle of the pacific ocean that will never be the same. horrific scenes of nothing but devastation are everywhere. entire city blocks up in smoke. families burned alive in their cars and homes. so far 150 people are confirmed dead. 850 plus are still missing. two weeks after the fire. it's possible that up to 1,000 people could have been killed during this blaze. we all hope and pray that's not true. including a disproportionate number of children. they were sent home from school just as the fire burned out of control. to give a sense of scale, less than 150 people were killed during florida's last cat for hurricane. around 1300 people were told as a result of hurricane katrina. in the aftermath of katrina george w. bush was excoriated. days weeks and months afterwards. the media, the mob, well, for not visiting soon enough not spending sufficient time during devastation for some reason the media mob, they don't seem to care as much about hawaii and the pathetic response from joe biden. this is the equivalent of his christina. you would know it from the media mob and their fawning coverage. think about this, the president refused to visit maui until spending multiple weeks on not one but two separate vacations too. first during a ten day getaway the beach in delaware where he struggled to move in his chair, biden couldn't be moved to comment at the disaster. literally shouting at the media mob his friends know as they were asking for, to sympathetic word or remarks for the people of hawaii. then over the weekend biden arrived at lake tahoe for more rest and relaxation at a luxury waterfront mansion of one of his billionaire rich friends. it wasn't until yesterday afternoon that biden finally took that short flight from nevada to visit maui in person. on the ground while joe's motorcade was greeted by locals lining the streets with signs blasting biden's response, shouting "go home, joe biden." during his brief remarks, by the way, biden appeared completely unprepared, apathetic and as per usual befuddled and confused. take a look. >> brian sanz, our sanity. senator mazie hirono. by the way, i told my granddaughter whose name is maisie as well, that's why i like her. >> thank you. her name is maisie as well. and joe and the mayor. when we talked on the phone, you look like you played defensive tackle fry don't know. somebody. thank you for your leadership. during this unimaginable tra tragedy. one called it the diamond in the rough of hope. another referred to fire cannot reach its roots. >> sean: can you not see the cognitive decline is getting dramatically worse? it also gets worse in this case. bryden chuckled biden tried to impress molly's victims with a tall tale about how he almost lost his corvette. watch this. >> i don't want to compare difficulties but we h have a little sense of what it's like to lose a home. take a look. >> you guys catching the boots out here? that is some hot ground. >> sean: hot ground, man. biden was in maui for less than six hours before getting on air force one that you pay for and of course carbon emissions that will pay for right joe and headed back to his vacation at lake tahoe. but before he left, biden did manage to get in, well, what might be a short nap. maybe i should just say nodding off or maybe just resting his tired old eyes for about oh, 12 seconds. and then struggling to keep his eyes open, staring off into the distance. again. befuddled, bewildered, dazed and confused. it was well past biden spent time on the east coast. he was primed and ready for a standard 12 hours or so of sl sleep. the people of maui have had weeks of sleepless nights. their loved ones are missing. their homes and businesses destroyed. their government has failed them. according to reports in the ground, the biden administration has been missing in action the entire time. the federal response from fema has been pretty much nonex nonexistent. the white house is offering a mere $700 per family which kind of pales in comparison to the $2600 per person the administration has already doled out to ukraine. maui, local officials previously obsessed with water conservation, they delayed the release of critical water from reservoirs for five long hours during the height of the fire. meanwhile the extensive warning system in maui, that stayed silent. it was never turned on. hawaii's electric company failed to maintain their grid despite prior concerns about sparking a wildfire. and the company was sidetracked of course with expensive green new energy deal projects, top priority for that state. the disaster in hawaii shouldn't be political. the mob and the media, the democrats, anybody with a conscience, heart and soul should be outraged. they should be demanding accountability from state, local, and federal leaders. but that isn't and hasn't happened. why? how could joe biden decide anything? it would all be delegated. frankly is an american, i am ashamed. i have been to lahaina many times. it's a wonderful town. a great historic place. we love maui. we love that part of the coast. to see it destroyed like this, to realize almost like pompeii in italy, you have families, entire families who were burned to death, found -- i saw one report that firefighters are having hard time psychologically going from house to house because the scenes of little children, the scenes of families who had gathered in the bathtub and shower trying to find one last place where there was water. and then you learn to cope big things. one, that the electric company had asked for several years for approval to spend the money getting rid of the invasive grasses that are at the heart of the fire and they have been turned down because the money was supposed to be spent on going green. it went red and kill people. second, you had a former obama official who was a water resource manager who for five hours refused to release the water who wanted to talk about how would we make sure that everything has worked out all right. and frankly there is a movement among some of the left-wing nutcase in ohio -- in oahu and maui. to not allow water to be used to fight fires. explain that to me. they value the water going to the taro crop more than the water protecting human beings. i just think that's an extraordinary psychological condition, it's not ideological. it's psychological. >> sean: i always used to say there is no such thing as a stupid question. but this is a stupid question. that would be, if this was a republican, if this was donald trump, what with the reaction be, mr. speaker? no, i never have. now we are discovering that well, you know, hunter's lawyers were saying you do know if this is brought to trial we are going to ask joe biden to testify. he will be a fact witness in all of this. and that they would force joe to testify. and then they wanted, hunter's lawyers wanted the doj to prosecute. what does this likes you, mr. speaker?
