douglas: there has been a breaking of the barrier of the stories about the family. goodness knows as we all know in the new york post knows, this is taken some years but it has been spelling out, you can see that, you can hear that around the country. it is not a secret anymore, not just a bit of the country that knows about it. everyone is starting to realize it. a montage like that, there is this big divide between what the white house says the situation is in america and how it feels for people in america. the white house keeps saying all the figures they keep pushing out, it doesn't feel like that when you are in the grocery store, when you are at the tools. it just doesn't. rachel: you talk about end of summer, people are now buying school supplies, clothes for school and gearing up for that. on top of the economic pressures, they have to deal with schools that are working against them and their values and not keeping their children safe or protecting there is no sense, one of those school districts sees a lot of parents fighting back, the new jersey school district, they are fighting back against policies that was in place by the governor of new jersey to allow teachers in schools to hide the fact that a child is calling themselves by different gender or different name, gives the school permission to not inform the parents who one would think would have a right to know that. schools are fighting back and now some result of come forward from the new jersey school district the temporarily blocked from enforcing the requirement to notify parents. is a statement from the middletown -- how can i never say it? griff: we are showing where they are trying to let parents know, but the state does not want parents to know. rachel: here is a statement from bruce padilla who is representing the school district, trying to defend the parents and he says we strongly disagree with the court's ruling and believe there are several grounds for appeal, significantly the court decided to maintain the status quo, and did not rule on the merits of the policy, simply, it is not discrimination to tell parents if their child decides to change the gender in their student records, the law supports our position. you have been covering a lot of what has seeped into our culture from the left and woke, what do you make of this? douglas: it isn't it amazing? what adult would step in between a parent and their child. what court would dare to do that? what authority would dare to do that? if a child has a migraine in school and need to take an aspirin, the parents are going to be told about that, but you have these sinister figures, and they are sinister who think that if a child gets led astray and it is being led astray by the gender nonsense, that there's no such thing as biological sex, you choose what gender you want to be, you might be one gender to be at another one after lunch, that if a child is acting up like this and it is acting up, that that should be kept as a secret from a parent. there is something deeply wicked in that, and in protecting such a racket. rachel: here are some parents sounding off on this thing that is so deeply disturbing. >> they think parents are danger and kids will be harmed if they know about it. >> we heard from many parents who are extremely upset and worried and concerned about what school districts might be hiding from them. we alert parents for everything from a child needs an aspirin during the day to signing a permission slip to watch a movie or read a book in class so this is a very far reach for a lot of parents. >> the fact that we are having this discussion concerns everyone. the parents and the children to have a right to know, that's the backbone of education in america in our country. >> this is the issue that catapulted glenn youngcan into office. he has continued to fight for this, you get the crt in schools, the deer, climate change agenda in schools, indoctrination, this theme of these schools particularly the teachers unions that are trying to separate our children from our parents and it is not going away. rachel: they want to turn them into little marxist activist, that is what they see is the purpose of the school rather than to educate, good to see parents fighting back but we need to talk more deeply about what is behind it, who are the actors, who are the groups funding the politicians who are pushing these kinds of policies that are clearly not popular even with parents who are kind of liberal in new jersey. douglas: look at the face of the districts that are most prominent antimatter literacy scores in that district and guarantee the places are looking to make little activists cannot educate. rachel: my children go to a private catholic classical academy in new jersey. i suspect following this controversy there's going to be a higher environment in the fall for them. parents want alternatives. for those lucky enough to get out of the system. that's why we need school choice. we are turning to a fox wildfire alert. the death toll in in the tragic maui wildfires is increasing overnight to one hundred 14 and the fires are still burning on parts of the island as the pentagon says it is sending an additional 700 personnel to help end the fires. yesterday the prime minister of japan offered his support for the deadly wildfires. >> i express my sympathy and i really pray for the piece of those that have lost their lives, in order to offer support, $2 million worth of support. >> might be more empathy than our own president has expressed, president biden is planning to visit maui on monday. the trial of brian coburg are will begin on the original scheduled date after a judge denied his legal team's request to delay it yesterday. >> great question, the biggest reason is to connect people with that story and get them to understand the larger picture about sea turtles, conservation issues and the challenges they face out in the world. >> reporter: you found this guy right here, jones, you don't know, him or her jones back in march. what is happening with jones?
